"Good to see you, Y/N." A gentle but neutral voice spoke.

Your eyes immediately glanced up to see the sitting Professor across from you. She bore the same expression on her face.

"Hello, Professor!" You smiled.

"Hello ladies!" Another voice piped in.

You shifted your attention to Sylvain sitting next to you. He bore a large smile, but you could only frown. It would be long before he said something flirtatious.

"Greetings to you too, Sylvain. Y/N, I heard you are having trouble figuring out what you wanted to fight with for the upcoming mock battle." Byleth spoke after swallowing some of her food.

"Yes." You replied.

"I would like to request you become our healer." She informed.

"Healer?" You questioned in between bites of excellent food.

"Correct. Unfortunately Mercedes will not be able to do it, and I heard you are quite gifted in many areas. Healing being one of them." The Professor quickly added.

It was true you were gifted in many areas such as healing, but it was a little insulting that she wanted to remain as a healer. Healers are important, but you felt your skills could be better used elsewhere. If believed this was the best strategy, then it probably would not hurt to temporarily take on the role.

You responded meticulously as to not offend her, "True, but if I am being honest, I would like to actually fight. If that is alright."

The blue-haired woman reassured, "And you will. I will provide you with a bow and arrows, but I would like your main priority to be healing."

"Of course. I shall become the healer for this battle. Thank you for this suggestion Professor." You smiled.

From there, the three of you proceeded to have fascinating conversations about class, life in the monastery, along with many other things. Unfortunately, the Professor had to depart shortly, but you remained with Sylvain and listened to him vent for the next half hour.

A warm breeze brushed past your cheek as you closely examined the field. It was large with lots of green grass and beautiful forests around. This was where the Mock Battle was to take place.

A feeling of anxiety crept in as you silently realized the battle was coming up. Why the Professor chose you to represent the Blue Lions was beyond you, but you just went along with it like a good little student you had to be. It would have been better you were on the sidelines watching, but it seemed that Mercedes was unable to be in mock battle. Due to this, the Professor wanted another individual with healing capabilities and she just happened to chose you.

Even though it was only a mock battle, you could not help but feel like it was the real deal. Everyone was using real weapons and magic after all. You wanted to use your magic, but you only used it if you were fighting for your life. You were unsure how to make sure it would not kill or seriously harm anyone. Although you never have actually taken the role of a healer either, so this was new territory.

Your (E/C) eyes narrowed and your body tensed the moment dark memories seeped into your mind. Memories of fear, pain, and much much blood. The sound of metal clashing against metal and the screams of agony. The heat from the flames and that horrendous smell.

"Hey there." A voice spoke.

The voice returned you back to reality from the painful memories. You turned your attention to the direction of the voice to see the familiar blonde prince standing behind you. You relaxed and released a silent exhale of relief. It was just Dimitri.
