Jungkook woke with a start, his heart pounding at dangerous levels.
What? Who is this man? Why is he in my room?!
He looked at the person in front of him, blushing as he swallowed.
And why is he naked?!
The artist's eyes widened as his hands shook, throat closing up as the room spun around him. He couldn't believe the sight in front of him: his sculpture, blinking and cocking its head to the side while looming over Jungkook's bed. There was something uncanny about the figure, unnatural.
Although Jungkook had been spending lots of time with the sculpture, to see it in front of him with unnaturally pale skin, was alarming. Although the sculpture blinked, it did so scarcely, practically staring into the terrified boy's soul.
Finally, the sculpture opened its mouth to speak. "Hello, Creator, I am Creation. I am here to be your friend." The sculpture smiled at the end of its introduction, eyes waning into crescent moons.
Terrified, Jungkook ran to his bathroom and locked it, leaning against the door as he tried to make sense of what was going on. Was this a night terror? Was he seeing things? The sculpture wasn't able to move when he went to sleep.
"H-How could this happen? I'm not dreaming, right?" He closed his eyes and placed his hand on his chest. "Okay, Jungkook, calm down. I need to go out there."
He blushed, remembering the state of the mystery man.
I need to bring him some clothes first.
Jungkook left the bathroom and went to his closet to get some clothes for the sculpture. He kept on glancing at him, and the sculpture just smiled at him, waving at him with both of his small hands, cute little giggles leaving his mouth.
Jungkook looked and focused on finding some clothes that would fit the sculpture. But all of his clothes were a bit big for the sculpture.
This is fine, right?
Jungkook walked forward, cheeks reddened, and said, "I-I'll get you some clothes first."
Why am I stuttering? Jungkook, calm down.
The sculpture cocked its head to the side. "Creator wants to give me clothes? Why? They belong to you." The sculpture slipped between English and Korean, most likely because it learned language from Jungkook, who spoke in a mixture of the two, whatever felt right at the time.
"I'll buy you some clothes tomorrow. Y-You can wear this." Jungkook said, still avoiding the sculpture's stare.
It frowned, backing away and looking at the chisel on the desk. "Is Creation ugly? Is that why Creator wants to cover Creation up?"
Jungkook waved his hand and said, "No! Y-You might feel cold—I mean, it's not comfortable to be naked. Here, let me help you."
"What is 'cold?'" It watched Jungkook and pointed to what Jungkook was wearing. "Is that why you cover up? Because you have a feeling? A feeling of 'cold?' What does it feel like? I'm not human."
Jungkook sat in front of him and he said, "Yeah, I have a feeling." He put his shirt on the sculpture. "Feeling cold is a perception of decreased body temperature, or the feeling that your body is colder than usual. You can feel cold, even when your temperature is normal or high, such as when you experience fever and chills. And we're using clothes to prevent you from feeling cold."
"I don't 'feel' anything, but my duty to keep Creator company." It hummed and swayed as it stood, shifting its weight back and forth, rocking like a gentle pendulum. "Maybe you could change the conditioner of air and take your clothes off too, Creator!"
I—What?!
"I don't need to take off my clothes." Jungkook said. He was a little bit flustered, but seeing the sculpture wearing his oversized shirt and being so giddy made him smile. "To be my company? H-How did you know that I'm looking for a friend?" Jungkook asked.
The sculpture drew its eyebrows together, the shirt dropping, exposing a shoulder and its prominent collarbones. "I've been listening to you for a while. It's hard to exactly remember when, but I remember the first time hearing your voice. I wasn't exactly sure what was being said, but Creation is a very quick learner since Creator made me so well. I think it was October thirteenth. Over time, I could understand more and started to see things going on. You do a lot of interesting stuff."
October 13th? Around two months have passed.
Jungkook smiled, as he stood up, and he walked forward to the sculpture, fixing the shirt and said, "I guess you might have heard me saying that I needed a friend. But consider addressing me as an older friend or more like hyung—"
"No, not hyung," the sculpture interrupted. "I'm older. Creator likes older people. I am older than Creator, so I can take care of Creator and Bam!"
"Okay."
