Kirishima's pov
"I think you're really something... would you possibly want to go to the dance with me?" Mina tilted her head
"I don't know Kiri... calling her "something" doesn't really come off as 'I'm into you'"
"Was it still bad?" I said facepalming
"yeah..."
"It's never going to be perfect. She's going to reject me for sure. Besides, she doesn't even want to go right?"
"Hey, she's going to say yes."
"How do you know?"
"Trust me, I know. It was better than last time. Come on, just practice! You'll get it this time"
"Can't I just take you?"
"Would you rather go with me than with the girl that you actually like? Just try to open your heart a bit more. Try to be more romantic"
"Okay... one last time... more romantic... "
"Exactly!" she said punching air
-later that night-
I walked up to Tori's dorm with roses and an iced coffee. I know she wouldn't want to make it a big deal so I came alone and made sure Mina didn't know when I was going to ask. I knocked on her door and my heart started pounding.
"Sharkboy?" she said as we made eye contact "what do you want? Did sparky get his tongue stuck on the flagpole again. What a fucking idiot"
"W-what no"
"Then did he get his hand stuck in the toaster again?"
"I-it's not about Denki...
"Did tapeboy tape sparky to the ceiling? I knew this would happen eventually"
"No. I... just wanted to ask you something"
"Okay...? What's with the roses and iced coffee? It's not valentine's day or some shit. It's not even February but I won't complain... as much... if you give me the coffee" (a/n: lol the fact that I actually posted this on valentines day)
"Uh they're actually for you" I handed her the roses and iced coffee and she looked at me suspiciously
"What did you do?"
"W-what? No, I didn't do anything! Why is everyone always asking me that?"
"Hmm... probably because you'd cover for any of your friends because that's the kind of person you are. But as if you're capable of doing anything so bad to the point where you have to contact me. So what do you want?"
"Viktoriya, You're the prettiest most extraordinary girl I know. Seeing you every day is the highlight of my day. Uh... I... um... d-do you maybe wanna go to the dance with me? I mean I know you said that you don't want to go but I think it would be fun" she just stared at me unamused "i-if you don't wanna go that's okay" I started to ramble
"Stop stuttering like Deku"
"S-sorry..." she rolled her eyes
"Okay"
"What?"
"I'll go but don't expect me to go all over the top and dress up"
"Y-yeah." I couldn't help by smile
I'm going to the spring formal with Viktoriya Bakugo
As I got to the elevator, I looked back one last time to see her with a smile on her face while her head was tilted down looking at the roses
She really should smile more
