Y/N POV:
(Time jump)
It felt like we had read that stupid book for hours before the bell rang. Honestly I don't remember a single word from the book. I got up from my seat grabbed my bags and began to walk off. I didn't really think much else until I heard hurried feet behind me.
"Hey Y/N!! What's the rush."
It was dee...I tried to push through the crowd but apparently I wasn't fast enough.
A hand grabbed my shoulder and pulled me aside gently.
"Oh hey Dee."
I said trying to add a slight annoyance to my voice.
It didn't work. He kept his position in front of me.
"Look I have an audition to get to soon and I can't be late."
I tried to sound a little more annoyed and trying to hint I didn't want anything to do with him or what he had to offer.
He finally spoke up.
" we'll do you even know where you're going?"
That question shook me up a little
"I um...I...I'm...uh..."
I began to stutter. I didn't know where I was going..but I didn't want his help. I remembered I had the map in my bag.
"Actually yes...I do know where I'm going."
I swung my bag around and grabbed it from its place.
I studied the map it looked awful..it was so confusing.
My confident smile faded as I tried to read the map of the school.
"Well..."
He spoke up.
I held the map out in front of him and pointed to the big square labeled gym.
"There...I'm going there!"
He giggled as he eyed the map.
"Come on. I'll take you there."
He had a sly grimace on his face.
I hated it.
I stood still in my place for a little as he began to walk forward.
He must have known I wasn't moving because he turned around with that smirk.
"We'll come on. Don't want you late for your audition now do you."
He had a point so, I followed him. I made sure I stayed a few steps behind him.
We walked down the long halls of the school making one right turn.
That turn led down to a hall with a trophy wall.
I stopped for a second to admire them but I couldn't stand for to long.
"Here ya go."
He spoke.
"Thank you."
I spoke those words gently and went into the gym.

DEE'S POV:
The bell finally rang. This would be my moment to talk to her. I started packing my bag as usual but before I was done she was already out of her seat and out the door. I sped my process up a little and went after her.
I finally spotted her in the hall and be van yelling for her.
"Hey Y/N!! What's the rush."
She seemed to ignore that but it wasn't long before I caught up to her. I placed my hand on her shoulder and moved her out of the way of the crowd.
"Oh hey Dee."
Was she trying to be intimidating.
I kept looking at her waiting to see if she'd respond.
"Look I have an audition to get to soon and I can't be late."
Hm what audition.
I didn't want to ask. I don't want to pry I mean I just met her.
" we'll do you even know where you're going?"
Ugh that sounded so stupid.
I held my composure and waited for her reply.
She seemed taken aback by my question.
I waited for her to answer again before I said anything else.
"I um...I...I'm...uh..."
She began stammering that sentence out.
Eventually she reached in her bag and pulled out a map of the school.
Those maps hadn't been updated in years. Some of the stuff in there wasn't even in the school anymore.
I watched as she tried to read the map. I could see the frustration and confusion start to bubble. So I decided to speak up.
"Well..."
That seemed to get to her. She pointed to the map and showed me the gym.
I let out a slight giggle before offering to take her to the gym.
I began walking ahead and I assumed she wouldn't follow immediately.
So after a few steps I turned around and spoke to her
"We'll come on. Don't want you late for your audition now do you."
That seemed to get her moving.
We walked in silence which wasn't my plan but, she seemed to be interested in the lining of the walls and the passing doors. I made the sharp right that lead straight to the gym.
In hindsight she could've found this herself but, I wanted to see where auditions were so I could watch.
She thanked me and walked into the gym.
I made sure I was out of her view before I snuck back into the gym.
I ran up the bleachers and sat at the very top.
I had a clear view of the floor below.
Now it was a waiting game.
