The night was deep enough for everyone to be dead asleep. The crickets were the only form of presenting life on earth.....or atleast it seemed like that. But inside the basement, there was a person tossing and turning in the sleeping bag. The person thought that everyone else in the room was in deep slumber because the smart watch showed 3:57 a.m when switched on. After being woken up suddenly, the person was unable to sleep again so instead the figure got out from the sleeping bag and slowly went towards the door which led outside. Trying not to make sound the figure stepped out in the moonlight which would be replaced by the sun in a few hours. The person thought that it was alone until it noticed another figure standing.

Fredrik was being careful of his surroundings so he tip toes his way towards the backyard after opening the door. Refreshing. That's what he felt. It's been a long time since he came out to the nature like this. He looked up to meet the beautiful view of a starry sky and a cresent moon. He was only thinking about a certain person. Oh how he missed lying on the field on his back with h-  "Goodness gracious Fredrik! You almost gave me a heart attack" exclaimed Hazel. "Sorry about that" Fredrik said followed by a low chuckle. "So what are you doing here this late?" asked Hazel. "I would ask you the same but yeah just came to clear my mind" sighed Fredrik. "I just couldn't sleep ya' know. But what's on your mind?" Hazel asked again. "Just things and a certain person whom I loved the most" Fredrik said looking up at the night sky which already started fading away. Without knowing, he let out a silent cry which he thought no one saw but was noticed by Hazel. "Hey hey don't cry! It's ok. Life is hard afterall" Hazel said hugging Fredrik. He froze from the sudden hug and then hugged back inhaling her scent which was calming him down. Maybe not all persons are cruel. Maybe Hazel was different. Nope. Scratch that she definitely WAS different. She gave off soft vibes starting from the day they met her. He always felt an urge to protect her from the cruelty of world. She was like a cosmos to him. He wanted to cover her eyes from the harsh reality of the world. "Oh sorry! I didn't really mean to hug you like that" Hazel said panicking. But Fredrik's heart clenched. 'She didn't mean the hug? Why am I feeling like this? Why am I showing my vulnerable side to her? Why did I find so much comfort in the hug?' was all Fredrik could think of. But he was snapped out of his trance when he saw Hazel going inside the basement. He sighed again. He should go back inside too right? Yup definitely because now that it's 4:38 in the morning, he should probably wait a little more to wake up his fellows and start to find a way INSIDE the house.

The watch showed 6:46 a.m when they started unzipping their sleeping bags and coming out one by one. "What are you two? Sun? Why are you awake early in the morning?" Lucy asked in a lazy voice. "Well now that all of you are awake, let's have some breakfast and then start finding a way in the house" said Fredrik both ignoring Lucy's questions and standing up. They slowly moved out of the basement and started climbing out the walls to find some cafe or restaurant to get breakfast. Ofcourse they had noodles for last night only. Hazel opened 'Google Maps' and found a small cafe nearby. They weren't actually friendly to the surroundings so they trusted 'Google Maps' more than themselves. Soon they found themselves standing infront of a cafe named 'LILAC CAFE'. As Hazel was the one leading the way, she pushed opened the door which opened with a jingle. "Oh welcome" they were warmly greeted by a woman in her 50's. They smiled at her and went to sit on a seat for 5. "Let's take this small meal set and go to the market. We need some equipments to get in the house" said Fredrik, earning nods of agreement from his friends. "Excuse me! Can we have 5 'brekkie set' please?" asked Hazel while the woman nodded and replied with a quick "Please wait a minute" and left to fetch their orders. The ordered meals came pretty fast and they set for the market after finishing and paying up.

They were back in Adam's backyard with the equipments they needed or they thought will be needed in breaking the front lock. They slowly made their way up to the front door and kept the tool kit on the wild grass. Fredrik sat on his knees and pulled out something from the kit with others hovering to see if he'll be successful in opening the door. Minutes of anticipating and Fredrik's suprising skilled hands finally made the lock open. All of them let out a breathe that they didn't even know were held by themselves. "Let's see....." said Jefferson as he made his way inside the house followed by others. "We'll need to cook in the basement cuz nothing works here and lighting a fire in here can be dangerous too!" exclaimed Jefferson. "Literally Jeff!? You had to bring that out? We just finished eating a whole damn meal not even an hour ago and you're thinking of cooking!" replied Rachel. "Ohkay ohkay don't be mad at me" said Jefferson putting his hands up making is look like he's surrendering towards a gun. "Let's not waste time and see through the rooms" said Lucy bluntly to stop their stupid argument. They all started finding in the dusty rooms which were kept unused for years or so.

Emptying whatever they found infront of the fireplace they sat surrounding it. It was pretty chilly weather so they lit up the fireplace to both gain some heat and to get some light as it was getting late. They were surprised that they took literal hours in searching the house which made them unfortunately miss lunch. "Let's make something to eat so that our stomachs don't growl while working" said Rachel making everyone nod in agreement. "Let's see if there's any way towards the basement through here because i think there should be" said Hazel pointing out the fact that they have to go to the basement to make food. Both males and females hummed in response and started finding a way. "As it's basement then maybe the door is on the floor? Let's remove the carpet" said Lucy. They started with the living room and it wasn't shocking that they found a door knob on the floor. The door was creaky as it was not opened for ages. They slowly made their way downwards with the help of the staircase made to go down. They sighed and started making a sandwich as it's the only easy and fast thing to make. After having their 'lunch' they again made their way upwards but now with torches. The house felt creepier and more empty now that it was dark as daylight was the only source of light inside it. They made their way towards the fireplace and sat their to read whatever paper they found. The things which were boring and not needed after they understood, they threw those in the fire to make the fire bigger and last longer. "Hey! These are the letters Adam refused to show me when I caught him hiding letters" said Lucy dragging the others' attention. "Maybe those are love letters from his admirer?" smirked Jefferson only to get smacked on the back of his head by Rachel. "Shut up and let's read" said Fredrik sternly.

"Hell! He hid all these threats from us?" Lucy almost screamed with wide eyes. "Who is this 'Freaky John'?" questioned Fredrik quirking his right eyebrow. "Stop asking like we know" Rachel rolled her eyes at Fredrik. "But hey! This same person is sending me the letters too!" exclaimed Lucy after processing the whole threating thing. "Oh gosh they are the same person!" Hazel said with wide eyes after realising the fact that the typing and the name is the same. "Let's not freak out and protect Lucy. For now let's sleep and get out of this house. Who knows if that John guy comes here" said Fredrik. They agreed to the fact and went down to have dinner. Dinner wasn't that long as it was just some frozen pizzas they bought from the market in the daytime. They heated the pizzas on the fire making sure not to burn them and did their dinner. After ending dinner with some orange juice, they packed their bag as they're gonna go back to their normal lives from the next morning. Slowly they went to sleep after packing and all hoping that no harm will be caused to Lucy.
