26th October 2018.
San Francisco; California.
"Oh okay. At Jeff's right? Be their by noon? Okay" and the girl hung up the call and then dialled another number. "Do not miss out the get together okay? I'll be waiting" and hung up. "Yes ma'am how may I-" she stopped and then continued "oh hi Hazel. What brings you here?" she asked quite confused why her friend showed up in her hotel counter at 9 in the morning. "Oh I see! Already on work?" Hazel asked chuckling. "Yup, gotta earn something" she said winking at Hazel. "Yeah so Rachel, you coming to the get together right?" asked Hazel. "Oh stop asking as if it's something HUGE" Rachel said. A small family showed up and thus Hazel also said goodbye as she proceeded towards her work while letting Rachel do her job.

"Oh hey uncle Fredrik" Jeffrey waved at the first guest of his 'brother'. "Stop calling me uncle, it makes me feel old" remarked Fredrik while making himself comfortable on the sofa. "You ARE old" scoffed Jeffrey. Once again Fredrik's pride was hurt by a teenager but he said nothing and laughed it off. Minutes later, which felt like hours, Hazel came in along with Jefferson coming down. "Where is Rachel and Lucy?" asked Jefferson. Both the guests shook their head to show that they didn't know about their friends' whereabouts. Soon Scarlett came down and sat beside her owner while being patted on the head. 13 minutes later Rachel joined them.
Half an hour; and still no sign of Lucy. "She said she join us though" muttered Rachel. "Let's wait for her" said Jefferson to lessen their worries, which failed.
Seconds passed, minutes passed, and passed a whole hour but there was no sign of Lucy in the house. That's when suddenly Rachel's phone rang with the user id being Lucy's. They all saw that and widened their eyes and signalled her to pick it up and put it on speaker. She did and started partially yelling as Lucy didn't show up till then. To their surprise, the voice behind wasn't Lucy's! "Hello is this miss Rachel speaking?" asked a male voice from the other side. "Yes but may I know where Lucy is and why you have her phone?" asked back Rachel. "Miss Rachel, I'm from the police and I'm very sad to inform you that you need to come to the police station as soon as possible. As you were the last person contacted on her phone, we called you. Thank you and the rest will be informed you at the police station" and the policeman hung up. "What can probably happen to Lucy that drags ME in the police station? Anyways, all of you are coming with me" demanded Rachel as she gathered her things and got out of her house. Wait, which police station? She quickly called Lucy and the same man received it. "How may I help you?" he said in a calm voice. "Which police station do I have to go?" she asked as she saw her friends coming in her direction. "California police's main station" said the police and hung up. Rude.

"Oh I see you brought friends. But the real thing is that we are sorry to inform that your friend Miss Lucy Wordsworth died in a car accident 1 hour ago" said the man as if it's the most normal thing in the world. They were surprised or to be more precise, shocked. She was their today morning but now she's dead? "Officer! Where did it happen?" asked Hazel with shaky voice. "You want us to take you to the spot? Okay then get in the car" said the man as they sat in the car. Lucy died? And they talked today morning. Did she die on her way over to the get together? All of their minds were clouded with thoughts that they didn't even know when they entered a familiar road. The officer snapped them out of their thoughts by telling them to get off. As they got off, their eyes widened as they were shocked. It was the same spot where they parted ways after Adam's death. Right, Adam died here too. They started getting flashbacks of Adam's death scene. The spot was filled with blood, police tapes, police men and some people. They couldn't believe that their friend who even talked to them today morning, died on way towards them. This also happened in case of Adam. He died on the way of the school party and Lucy, she died on the way to their get together. Guilt took over them. After all they couldn't protect her. "Let's just go back to wherever we came from. I'm going to my house don't contact me until need" said Jefferson and started walking away from the spot. "Jeff! Stop being like this!" cried out Rachel. But no answer from Jefferson as his body disappeared by walking. They all pulled themselves together and agreed on going back to their previous lives just now with the missing part Lucy. "At least let's pray so that she meets Adam there" said Hazel with tears. They nodded and looked up at the sky which just became dark. They didn't know how the get together they wanted to hold as a sign for their friendship ended up losing one of them. With tears in their eyes and guilt in their heart, they parted ways; once again.
