After resting for a while I decide to head out to look after Crimson and Sapphire. I make sure to take the bottles of soup and my empty ones so I can buy more potions as well as two small bowls.
When I step out of the academy, it's already dark outside.
I walk to the sparring hall, where Sapphire is resting in and look into the sky.
Crimson is nowhere to be seen. He's probably with him. I close my eyes and focus on my senses, just to make sure he's okay.
I sense his presence immediatly and calm down as I open the doors to the hall.
"Link... You should rest."
Instructor Horwell greets me with a displeased frown as I walk inside and close the doors. Crimson gets up from the ground next to Sapphire and walks towards me.
"Hey, buddy. You're such a good friend, staying with him."
I pet his beak and smile at him. Then I walk towards the instructor and Sapphire.
"I already rested enough. I'm okay. How is he?"
I kneel down and pet Sapphire. His big eyes look into mine. I'm happy he seems to be better and smile at him as the instructor sighes.
"He's resting well, unlike a certain someone."
He gives me the evil eye but I decide to ignore it and continue petting Sapphire.
"His minor wounds are almost healed. The deeper one will still take a few days and he can't fly until then."
I frown. Poor Sapphire...
"Ah. Right. Is he allowed to eat some pumkin soup? I was on my way back with some for him and Zelda when it happend..."
The instructor thinks for a second but nods.
"Yes. He can eat it. Would you help him get up a little?"
I nod and help Sapphire from his side lying position into a little sitting one. Then I take out the bowls and put them on the ground next to each other.
"Come here, Crimson. You're also gonna get some."
Crimson walks over to us and sits down next to Sapphire. I pour the soup from the bottles into the bowls.
As I see Sapphire having a hard time eating it from the ground, I take the bowl and hold it to his beak.
He immediatly eats and is done faster than Crimson.
"You're hungry, huh? No wonder... Zelda probably didn't had time to feed you..."
Crimson pushes his half full bowl towards me.
"You're sure?"
He squeaks happily and I pet his beak.
"You're such a good friend."
I take the bowl and give it to Sapphire who eats it empty.
"Alright. Thank you for bringing him food, Link. But I think you should really rest now. I'm going to stay with him so don't worry. You can come check up on him again tomorrow morning and when something's up, you're the first to know."
I nod and pet Sapphire and Crimson one last time before saying goodnight to the instructor and leave the hall.
Before I walk back to the academy, I quickly head to the towns market tent and buy some more potions.
"Link..."
As I head back, I hear someone call me but don't see anyone around.
"Link..."
