Once I step inside, I feel his presence. My heart is pounding like crazy, I almost forget to breathe.
"Master."
Fi comes out and points to a chain on the ground.
"I detect a strong reaction from this chain. The possibility that Zelda was bound to it is at 95%."
I approach the chain and kneel down to it. They caught her but she's not here anymore... that can only mean...
I hear a snap of fingers and look around me while I quickly try to get up but fall back to the ground.
"What the-!"
My wrist is bound to the chain! I try to get free as some hands are on my shoulders from behind.
"Hello there, sky child."
Ghirahims low and sexy whisper is right next to my ear making my lips escape a little sound. Wh...what the hell! Guys shouldn't make sounds like that! I start blushing horribly at myself as he chuckles.
"Oh my, sky child. I could get addicted to your voice."
I try to squirm away from his touch. My mind doesn't work like this and my heart is pounding like crazy.
Once I gain some distance, I notice he's wearing a different cape. This one is dark blue. It fits him quite well. I look him straight in his eyes. His mesmerizing eyes...
"Wh...what did you do to Zelda? Where is she?"
Ghirahim seems bewildered and then annoyed. That must mean she escaped?!
"Ugh! Why you must remind me of this, sky child?!"
He turns away from me, seeming ready to explode with anger.
"There I finally get the message from my servants that they caught the spirit maiden just for me to hurry here to see she's gone! I MUST have her to resurrect my master! I MUST! Uggghh!!! These incompetend fools!"
He's yelling loudly, imtimidating me a little. Jeez never saw him like that. It's good that Zelda escaped but I feel sorry for him... we're enemies but I can't help to feel like he's in trouble just like me...
"But... do you really have to?"
I can't stop myself from speaking up. He turns to me, question marks written all over his face, together with annoyence.
"Have to what, sky child?! Have to have the spirit maiden?! Well I just said that, didn't I?!"
He grabs me by the collar of my tunic, suffocating me. I close my eyes in pain and cough. Ghirahim pulls away from me.
"I... got a little carried away there, didn't I? I don't deal well with... complications to my plans... It's a character flaw of mine, you see?"
He turns away from me. Is he... sorry? Embarrest? I can't tell but I hesitantly speak again.
"Uhm... I... I ment... you know..."
I can't find the words and he chuckles and comes closer to me, his confident self again.
"At a loss for words, sky child? How amusing."
Grrr! I swear that guy is driving me crazy in more ways than one! I take a deep breath and look at him sincerely as he holds my chin up, smirking at me.
"Do you really have to resurrect your master? Is there no other way?"
His eyes widen and he takes his hand away from me, staring at me but it doesn't feel like he's really looking at me, more like through me...
"Wh...what do you mean? It... it is my destiny... I... I must resurrect my master..."
I can see some other expression than usal in his eyes. He's conflicted, sad, doubting even...
Before I know it, this time I tilt up his chin to make him look at me and smile at him.
"I know that destiny feels like there is no way around it and you must do it but in the end it's your own life. Is resurrecting your master really what you want?"
Ghirahim stares at me and mumbles.
"I... I must... I must resurrect my master..."
Ghirahim gets up and walks a few steps away from me, mumbling to himself. What... what have I done? I made him suffer... I made him so conflicted... I... I didn't wanted this...
"Gh..Ghirahim, I...I'm sorry, I didn't wanted to-"
He turns to me.
"Silence, sky child. You have said enough. We... we will see each other next time."
His voice sounds so vulnerable...
He summons his crystals and dissapears, leaving me sitting on the ground, feeling like I'm the evil one.
"Master. We should continue."
After a while, Fi tears me out of my thoughts and I nod.
"R...right..."
I turn to the chain and only now notice I'm free of it. I get up and head for the door to the spring.
Of course Zelda is no where to be seen and I hit the goddess symbol with a skywars strike.
Fi dances around the spring again, translating the ancient message.
"From the edge of time I guide you, the one destinied to carry out the goddess's mission."
There is that word again I grew to hate so much... destiny... I ball my fists as Fi continues.
"The spirit maiden who descended from the clouds has passed through the Earth Spring and makes her way to a fated place.
The parched desert of Lanayru... that is where the chosen will pass through the Gate of Time into a distant world."
Gate of time? Distant world? Oh my...
Again a tablet falls into my hands, this time with a golden gem inside.
"Master, let's go back to Skyloft."
I nod absently and head to a goddess statue.
