I land at the Sacred Grounds to check up on the seal before I go to him. Something's wrong here... such malice...
I quickly head to the seal but stop in my tracks as I spot him... Ghirahim is standing infront of the seal. I carefully approach him.
"No need to be so wary, sky child. I already noticed your arrival since you landed. I'm not gonna harm you."
He speaks up but doesn't turn to me. I losen up a little.
"What are you doing here?"
I choose my words carefully, not wanting him to snap in any way. It's dangerous for him to be here. He shouldn't even be able to get here.
"Thinking."
His answer sounds defeated. I decide to as him more about it.
"Thinking? About what?"
Ghirahim sighs and turns around to me. His eyes lost as he looks at me.
"About everything... I don't want this, sky child. I never wanted any of this. But what choice do I have? This is my destiny..."
I shake my head, grabbing his shoulders.
"No listen please! You don't have to suffer anymore! I can save you!"
He looks down, a sad smile on his face.
"That's just wishful thinking, sky child. I either throw the world into despair and my master will kill you or you kill me together with him. This is the thread of fate you and me are bound by."
I raise my hand and show it to him.
"No! Look! I have the power of the Triforce! I can seal him and spare you! But you have to help me! You have to fully wish to stop serving him and to be free of him!"
Ghirahim looks up to me with sparks of hope in his eyes.
"Are you... are you really willing to do this... for me...? After all I did to you...?"
I shake my head.
"You only did what you thought you have to do. But I know there were multiple times you could have hurt me, killed me even but you never did. I know you were constantly watching me and protecting me."
His eyes widen in surprise. He probably thought I never noticed but I'm not that stupid. How can I not feel his eyes on me all the time... I would have to be blind.
Ghirahim nods and takes a look at the seal again. Then he turns to me and nods.
"I truly wish for you to free me from-!"
He stops midsentence and collapses on the ground holding his head and screaming in pain. I rush towards him and kneel down shaking his shoulders.
"Ghirahim! What's wrong!?"
Dark dust circles around us.
"Step away, sky child! It's too late!"
I shake my head.
"No! You can do it! Fight against it! Don't give up!"
Ghirahim looks at me, his eyes pleading.
"Please... kill me before it's too late... I don't want to hurt you..."
I look at him in shock but shake my head.
"N...no! Don't make me do this!"
He pushes me away and soon stops screaming in pain and stops moving. I carefully get up and move towards him.
"Gh...Ghirahim?"
"Master! Step away!"
Fi's voice from my sword echoes loudly in the air as I do and Ghirahim gets up, a dark aura surrounding him.
