Dear Vega,

I have received the letter from the school administration regarding you disobeying the rules. Although I am glad that it turned out to be better for you this time around, I don't want you to make a habit of it. I expect that you wouldn't land detentions like Dora.

As for your Nimbus Two Thousand, Ted will be sending you the Owl-Post at Hogwarts in the following week. He is very proud of you for making into the Quidditch team. Please be careful with your activities and don't hurt yourself. I know you are very responsible.

Dora is going crazy about your acceptance into the Gryffindor Quidditch team and wants to come see you play. I might allow her to do so if she works hard on her studies.

Take care of yourself and have fun.

We all miss you and hope to see you soon.

With Love, Andromeda, Ted and Dora

Smiling slightly to herself, Vega folded the letter properly, putting it back into the envelope, and slipped it into her robe pockets. It was the following morning of their late-night adventure with the creature and Vega had hard time gathering courage to go out of the dormitory.

It wasn't that she was scared of creatures – regardless of how strange they were – but she had never come across one so unexpectedly, and of such a gigantic size. Vega shivered as she walked out of the Owlery, rubbing her arms.

There was no way she wanted to go back in there.

Vega ran right into someone and turned around rather furiously to see who it was only to find see – it was Fred Weasley. She recognised him not by his freckles or the tone of his voice – but the shit-eating grin on his face.

"What do you want?" Vega asked, uncharacteristically vexed. But it didn't seem to waver Fred's mischievousness. In fact, it seemed like it energised it.

"What do I want?" Fred asked, tapping his chin with his finger all 'thoughtfully'. He turned to look at her. "How about... what were you ickle little firsties doing last night?"

"Why didn't you ask Ron?" Vega questioned, her irritation falling away and now genuinely curious as to how he knew that they had been outside.

"He wouldn't have answered me, now would he?" Fred replied rather dismissively. "He'll act all prissy with George and I," Vega could see Ron doing that.

"It wasn't anything important," Vega said, wrapping her arms around herself as the two of them made their way down the corridor to the staircases. "We were just, uh, exploring,"

"A rather unlikely group," Fred commented but didn't seem to pressure her into giving out all of the details. Vega continued to stare at him, wondering just how he came to know about everything.

Vega hadn't realised how long she had been staring at Fred until his brown eyes turned to catch her stormy grey pair. She looked away promptly and pulled her bookbag closer to her body, keeping her eyes on the stairs ahead of them.

"Wait for that one," Fred said suddenly and Vega stopped on the edge of the landing as the next set of stairs began to move across toward a further landing. Vega sighed. "That one takes thirty minutes,"

"Thirty minutes to change back?" Vega muttered as she turned around and started back toward the previous landing to take the other staircase down. "Why did you mention it earlier?"

"I wasn't looking where we were going," Fred responded and Vega wanted to ask him where in the world he had been looking but she didn't.

It was silent the remaining journey to the Great Hall, and Vega was kind of glad it was. She was too shy to bring up a small talk, and there was just something about Fred that almost came challenging to her. Like she always had to keep an eye out and not back down. It was a strange contrast that made her want to throw up.
