Chapter 11: Safe House

"Mom! Mom! Mom! Oh my god MOM!!!" Hyunjin said as she ran through their house trying to find Jiwoo while being chased by her sister

"MOM DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING THAT HYUNJIN SAYS. ALL SHE HAS TO SAY IS LIES!!"

After running around their huge house, Hyunjin finally found her parents "Mom! So we were at Disney Land and Hyeju said she wanted to ride the Ferris wheel and then after we got off i saw-"

Before she can even finish what she was saying Hyeju covered her sister's mouth. Scary enough as it is, Hyeju is also holding a knife up to Hyunjin's back.

Both if their parents gave them a confused look, waiting for one of them to explain what was going on.

"Open you mouth one more time and i'm putting this knife so far through you spinal cord to the point where you can't walk." Hyeju threatened

They both slowly backed away making a very awkward situation for all of them.

"Did you hear Hyeju threaten Hyunjin?" Sooyoung asked her wife "They're probably just messing with each other. Don't worry about it" Jiwoo answered

"Mom what is this?" Chaewon asked her mother while holding a piece of paper 

"That.. is.. nothing sweetie. Just papers from work" Vivi smiled while she cleans up their plates

"Oh. Well i just wanna point out that your hypothesis does not even support itself for even a little bit" Her daughter said and threw the paper back on the table

To be clear, the paper was from her meeting with Jinsoul and Jungeun so right now, Vivi is a little bit confused about what Chaewon said

"What do you mean?" She asked "Well everything in that is completely circumstantial. It's a long shot but i do consider people that aren't me to be dumb"

Her mother took the paper and thought about what Chaewon just said and slowly realized that she was right

"If you're gonna stay up all night trying to figure that out then I suggest you take some nicotine patches. It helps me focus more at night" Chaewon said and got up from her chair to go to sleep

"Night mom. Don't tire yourself" Vivi heard as her daughter's voice slowly decreased.

While she looked in to the notes that she took from the meeting, Vivi decided to message Haseul about it.

"Oh Choerry you're finally home" Jungeun said, hugging her daughter "how was Disney Land?"

"Mom you don't have to pretend. I know that you didn't know where i was." Her daughter said plainly

"Yeah you're right. I'm a really bad mother." said Jungeun with guilt in her voice "so uh sweetheart, we know that me and your mother have been fighting a lot lately..."

"Oh god you're not getting a divorce are you?" She said cutting Jungeun off mid sentence "I know i'm 17 but i'm too young to have divorced parents. What do i do on holidays? Do i go with you or do i go with mom?"

"Hey Choerry we-" Jungeun gets cut off again by her daughter "Ok before you say anything, i'm going with you."

Ironically enough, Jinsoul just entered the room with her tacos "I'm pretending that I didn't hear that."
