Doug tried using his stun ability, but to no avail. The horde of husks began to slowly creep closer.
Malak: Didn't want to show you this, but these will be useful.
Doug than felt a sudden surge of power in him. Not questioning what Malak had done he pulled his tablet and discovered that Malak had given him two new powers. One increased his strength to super human levels for a short time and the other allows him to turn his hands into swords. Not wasting anymore time he activated both the abilities at once. His hands turned into blades and he felt much stronger. He effortlessly slayed every single husk. After that the voice speaker turned on, but it was Bierce.
Bierce: I don't know where you are getting these powers, but I have a feeling Malaks helping. No matter. I'll just deal with that.
Malak: Mortal listen. I don't have all the time in the world so heres my last two power ups. One will increase your durability for a bit and the other will heal any injury.
Doug felt surges of power in him once more.
Malak: Bruce is here, got to-.
Malak then went silent. Doug knew that Malak need him now. If he was willing to give him these new abilities than he must trust Doug. Doug's hands then turned back to normal. Doug activated his speed boost and ran for the other half of the school. Throughout that side of the school he still encountered husks and either killed them or avoided them. Depending on if his powers were active. He would occasionally hear Agatha running around, but they never crossed. He was able to collect the final three shards without issue.
