MARLEY ROXANNE was wrongfully convicted of a crime. A crime that a twisted alter, the worse part of herself committed in self defense, an act Marley never participated in. She was used to taking the punch or the slap or the kick, locking herself in the bathroom the next hour to cry. But with so much anger and trauma built up within her mind, it eventually became to much and spilled into an alternate conscious. A much darker one that was fueled by rage and an undying need to protect Marley no matter the cost.

The Widow was born out of a dark place, emerging from the shadows to defend and protect the helpless little girl at all cost. She was a being of hatred, one that worked purely on anger and solved any issue with pure and gruesome violence. And the alter did that for many years. She defended and protected Marley no matter what, feeling that it was her purpose for being put on this planet, even if she was often hidden within the darkest corners of the mind.

Whatever the Widow did, she thought it was for the better good. She figured that if Marley was no longer in harms way, it'd be okay, no matter the crimes committed.

The pair barely communicated after Widow committed murder, resulting in a trial where Marley was deemed insane. No one believed her when she said she didn't do it, that an alter had been the one to kill her partner. Marley figured she wouldn't ever leave the asylum, coming to accept it as her new home... Her new traumatic home... That was until some coverts op unit came and dragged her out to stop some type of invasion. They believed Marley's skills as the Widow would contribute to their overall mission.

Marley thought that they were the insane ones.

So... Adrian Chase is fucking adorable and I couldn't resist writing about him.

With Marley's Dissociative Identity Disorder, I want to clarify that I don't mean to offend anyone. A lot of her character will probably be based around Crazy Jane's character in Doom Patrol and Moon Knight as these have been credited as accurate portrayals. I'll also try doing as much research as I can to make Marley as accurate as possible to someone with DID.
I apologise if I make a mistake and would love it if you can point it out in the comments. I'd love to learn more about DID because I find it so interesting and would love to understand it further.
