MARLEY YELPED IN SURPRISE. The metallic clash of the pistol against the reflective floor rung through her head like a pounding drum. Still huffing out each breath, she anxiously looked up at a confused Agent Harcourt.

"You're trusting me with a gun?" Marley managed to murmur through her harsh inhales and exhales.

Harcourt slowly tilted her head before gesturing to the collection of blades Vigilante had graciously gifted Marley. "No offence, even if that's your preferred weapon, I don't think they'll do much damage against the butterflies if there in there. It's better to be safe then sorry." Her face turned stern once again as she passed Marley, jumping out the back of the van with ease. "Rules still apply, you turn it on any of us and I put a bullet deep within your skull."

Marley gulped nervously. "What exactly is the plan here?" she asked hurriedly, quickly following Harcourt with haste. "Peacemaker had a point in saying 'it's us seven against an alien invasion'! We're outnumbered frankly."

"We don't even know if the Butterflies are in there," Harcourt shot back. "This is a simple recon to see what we can find out about their species."

"Doesn't answer my question," Marley muttered, practically leaping out of the back of the van. The gravel crunched loudly beneath her sneakers, and her eyes flicked to Chris for a moment, confusion striking her graze in a vivid dance. "What's with the new helmet-?"

She was interrupted by the revving of a chainsaw as Vigilante emerged from the depths of the vehicle. Smoke emitted from the weapons engine as it vibrated in his grasp, an evil cackle following as he lifted the weapon up like it was some grand prize.

"No!" Harcourt exclaimed like a disappointed parent. Adrian didn't hear her, frustrating the agent further. "You're not taking that in there!"

"I can't hear you!" The masked anti-hero yelled over the revving engine, tilting it up to show off the spinning blades. "This thing's so fucking loud!" It took him a few moment of enjoying the loud engine before he switched it off, the weapon slowing to a halt still locked in his tight grasp.

Marley smirked at the red shading to Harcourt usual pale features. "You're not bringing that," Agent Harcourt spat sternly.

"Hey, I agree with Peacemaker. We can't go in the unprepared." Marley almost flinched when Adrian snapped his fingers and pointed at her specifically. "A pistol ain't going to do much."

Harcourt didn't miss a beat, voice stern. "And like I said to Roxanne, we don't even know that there are butterflies in there."

Like a child wanting candy, Adrian persisted. "Oh, come on. Please?!" he begged, voice strained to drag out the long sound in an attempt to melt Harcourt's ice cold heart. And once again, much like a child throwing a tantrum, Adrian groan with annoyance as he dumped the weapon. "Ah, fuck! I'm never ever gonna kill someone with a fucking chainsaw. It's so not fair." Reluctantly, Adrian left the chainsaw behind jumping out the back and pulling the cargo bed shut with a huff. "Total fucking bullshit."
