FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE BEING SAVED FROM THE ASYLUM, MARLEY FELT USEFUL. Even if it was helping out with packing the fan for the mission the following night, Marley felt a level of satisfaction that she had at least done something and wasn't completely and utterly useless.

She huffed out a harsh breath as she dumped a suitcase into the back. God knew what it was filled with, but no doubt it was some type of heavy weaponry. It scrapped across the cold floor of the vehicle loudly, but as she outstretched her arms, she felt her long sleeves lift. She caught sight of black ink upon her skin, which was wrong consider in she had cleaned herself vigorously the night before. She made sure her skin was a blank canvas. When she woke up with sore knuckles and light bruises decorating her skin, Marley tried not to think too much into it. It was getting time she should be more worried about her alter's nightly outings.

Looking around for prying eyes, she rolled up her sleeve to see words written over her forearm: vigilantism is fun... Hung out with someone cool too, he's literally known as Vigilante! How cool is that?

Marley frowned at the statement, knowing that no doubt, when they were supposed to be sleeping, Widow was out beating up strangers. There was nothing she could do now. At least, she didn't wake up covered in blood. At least her alter respected that one wish. "Good to see you're having fun..." Marley muttered, pulling her sleeve back down.

"I'm gonna be honest about something here." Peacemaker's loud voice startled Marley from her thoughts as he joined her outside. "Homunculi freak me the fuck out."

"What the fuck is a homunculi? Sounds like disease," Marley questioned, sitting down on the edge of the opened van. She tilted her head at the anti-hero as he slid another case beside the one she inserted.

"It's plural for homunculus. It's a tiny person." The explanation John gave her only further confused Marley.

Chris nodded, physically shuddering at the thought. "Yeah, I don't like what they're up to. I don't like what they fuckin' do."

Marley glanced at Adebayo who shared her pointed look of confusion.

"Hey, Doll Man, you ever meet him?" Chris continued to ramble, unaware or unphased (Marley didn't know which) by the looks he was receiving from his teammates.

"Doll Man?" Leota repeated with a questioning look.

"He turns small," Murn clarified as her and Chris passed him. Marley watched and listen with heavy curiosity.

This proceeded to confuse Leota further. "He calls himself Doll Man?" Chris nodded confirmation, and the mere small clarification was enough to make Marley roll her eyes.
