Emerald declined. It took awhile and Nathan rose up and stared at her but she finally declined.
"Who was that?" Nathan mumbled, licking his lips clean from her juices. He rose a brow, now curious.
"Erm, just a friend. Friend from work she wan fi see me tomorrow." Emerald lied and shrugged it off, her phone was switched to silent and she threw it elsewhere.
She grabbed Nathan by his tie and the pair resumed their intimate session. A few moans, orgasms and spankings later, the two fell asleep in each other's arms.
The next morning Emerald's phone had 38 missed calls and 10 messages. All from Lance. She went into a secluded area from Nathan and sighed as she called him. What on earth did he want? Was he okay?
"Emerald." He instantly answered. She remained silent, unsure what to say. He never called, only texted here and there.
"Y-yeah.. Hey Lance."
"God I've missed you and your sexy accent.." He said eagerly over the phone.
She crossed her arm over the other as she rolled her eyes, but then stared at the floor.
"So why yuh nuh call Lance? What is it?.."
"I know but.. I've just been busy babygirl. I'm so tied up with business but I've missed you."
"Me too." Emerald wasn't going to fight it. Two years had gone by and this man was still lingering in her mind, as if their encounter was just yesterday.
"Emerald I'm coming to Barbados." Lance announced.
Emerald almost dropped her phone to the ground.
"What!" She exclaimed in disbelief.
"Yes Emerald.. I want to be with you. I've accomplished a lot here but I've never stopped thinking of you."
She didn't believe him. He rarely made effort to keep in touch with her since he'd left.
"Okay Lance Brown." She giggled over the phone, getting excited.
"I'll be there in 3 days.. I'll Land on the 17th.." He said and the two exchanged their good-byes.
Emerald began brushing her teeth then took a moment to look into the mirror. She smiled at herself, thinking of all the moments her and Lance shared. Her cheeks were heating up. How he'd romanced her in no time, kissed her, loved her and accepted her.
Then she frowned at her reality. She was now with Nathan, madly in love. Or maybe that was just him?
Could it be possible to be in love with two people at the same time? Emerald questioned herself as she began getting ready to head down to the beach.
"Bye babe. Enjoy yuh day." Nathan kissed her as he gathered his belongings and went to the door.
"Bye. Last night was.... a dream." Emerald said as she walked to the door, now locking eyes with him while biting her lip.

Nathan chuckled and kissed her once more before leaving. Emerald proceeded to tidy up her apartment before she prepared for the beach to meet with Mel.
She sat down and turned on the music, now playing a song her and lance once danced to together. She sighed, laying on her couch as she closed her eyes and drifted to when times were different.
~~Flashback~~
"Babe.." Lance nudged Emerald in bed. She yawned as she woke up. To her surprise the man of her dreams was right in front of her.
"Wha yuh want?" She sighed rolling her eyes at him.
"Promise me something."
"What?" She asked now rising up to her elbows, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"Promise me no matter what, you'll never forget me. I know I wasn't here for long. J-just.. don't forget me Emerald." He said as he took her small dainty hand in his.
His eyes were locked into hers, almost pleading. He looked so worried.
"Lance mi coulda never forget yuh. I should be sayin that to you. Living in the states and all." Emerald responded a small smile on her lips. She placed a hand on his cheek and caressed his lower lip with her thumb.
Lance turned to the side and kissed her hand.
"Thank you, Em. I'll never forget you too."
Emerald zoned out of her daydream then sighed. She was just happy she could finally see him again. She didn't know how things would be this time around but they were going to figure it out face to face.
Emerald packed her sunnies and all her beach essentials as she got everything ready. She couldn't wait to kick it with Mel. It was Saturday and she really needed some cocktails, sunshine and good food. She also knew Mel was going to freak about Lance coming in the next 3 days.
Emerald got into her car and drove, she was somewhat nervous to tell Mel. Mel loved her and Nathan's relationship, she was happy Emerald was finally able to move on. Her best friend saw how abandoned Lance left her feeling, which was why Emerald wasn't sure how she'd take this.
