My Garden

Justin looked down at me after a few minutes.

"I never knew you liked to garden Babyboy."

"Oh yea, ever since I was a little kid I used to grow food, flowers, and trees. It's calming."

He then started to smile at me.

"Babyboy? Would you like to live at my home? I have a whole garden area for you to use. If you would like that."

My eyes glittered. A whole garden area for me? How much money does this guy make?

"What do you say Babyboy? Would you like to live with Daddy?"

"Yes, please. But what about my roses?"

"Don't worry baby. I'll have someone over and take it to my home. Would that make you feel better?"

"Yes please. I've had them for so many years."

"Don't worry, they'll survive the trip. Now, let's get you packed and ready to head to your new home."

I smiled and stood to my feet before kissing his cheek. I walked into my room and pulled out an old suitcase. I started packing some clothes, jewelry, and essential needs. That's when I heard Daddy walking over. He knocked on the door and I opened it.

"I hope you got everything you need right now. I'll have someone else clear it out."

"I'm almost done. Just gotta pack one more thing and then I'll be right out."

He hugged me and kissed my lips. He then left and went to his car. I pulled out a black box and gently set it into the suitcase. I lifted it and started walking to the car, a little nervous. I stepped out of the house and walked over to his car.

"What's with that face?"

"What face?"

"You look nervous. Why's that?"

"Nothing. Shall we continue?"

"Sure."

I kept a close eye on the suitcase. I didn't want it to get damaged. Justin looked at me and was confused.

"What's in that bag Babyboy?"

You'll see Daddy. I'll let you see it when we get home. Or, to your home."

He looked at me and pouted a bit. I smiled and giggled. I looked out the window and kept the suitcase close to me. That's when my eyes slowly start to drift close. I started breathing lightly, slowly heading off to dreamland. My mind slowly shifted to a beautiful big garden, full of flowers, trees, fruits, and vegetables. I went around and started harvesting some of the food I had grown and picked some flowers. I felt happy and calm. My wicker basket held the fruit, vegetables, and flowers all neat and none squished. I walked over to a beautiful home and stepped into the kitchen. I cooked a delicious meal, making everything even. That's when I rang a bell and everything started to fade to black.

"Babyboy, wake up. We're home."

"Hm?"

We're home. Take a look."

I stretched the best I could and looked through the windshield. It. was. HUGE! A mansion!

"You live here?"

"Nooo Babyboy, we live here. But I used to live here."

I smiled and we parked right outside. I held my suitcase close and walked to the front door. A lovely lady opened the door and greeted both me and Justin.

"Welcome home sir, who is your guest?"

"Not guest Kate, boyfriend. This is Ethan."

"I'm so sorry sir. It's very nice to meet you, Mr. Ethan. Please come in."

I walked in to see marble pillars and a dark floor. I looked around in awe. Everything is beautiful.

"Come Babyboy, let me take you to our room."

I smiled and followed close behind. There were a few hallways but we then came to a large door. Justin opened the door and there was our room. A humongous bed, a walk-in closet, a huge bathroom, and a huge window looking over an empty garden. I walked to the window and looked over the huge and empty garden.

"That's all yours. This room is ours. This home is ours."

I turned to look at Justin crying. I ran over and hugged him tightly. He rubbed my back and kissed my head. I couldn't comprehend how happy I was. A whole garden just for me? Impossible. My eyes wandered the cobblestone path and saw outlines and patterns. I smiled. Visualizing where everything will go. I turned and went to my suitcase. I started to unpack and tried to hide the black box in the giant closet but Tyler spotted me pulling it out.

"What's in there Babyboy?"

"Oh umm, nothing."

"Babyboy, you know I don't judge. Let me see."

He gave me a soft smile. I sighed and gave in. I opened the box and showed him a glass baby bottle with strawberries on it.

"That's what you've been hiding baby?"

"Mhm."

"No need to be ashamed. Daddy told you that I don't judge. You're my little boy, I gotta take care of you and make sure you have love. Now go explore your garden while I make you a special drink, okay?"

"Oki Daddy."

I set the box on the bed and ran outside to explore my new garden. That's when I saw my light pink roses. I gasped and ran to them. Such beauty. I inspected them all and all were healthy. I smiled and went on exploring. I pulled out a small flip book and started writing down what I wanted and where it would go.
