Me and Justin were having such a fun day until we ran into the aviary. I got a little scared because I knew that my mother had worked here. I was a little scared but then again, I went inside. We saw peacocks, cockatoos, and even his favorite bird. Hummingbirds. That's when I heard footsteps, I assumed it was just another person exploring the aviary. Then I heard her voice.

"Well well, if it isn't my ungrateful son Ethan."

I froze in my tracks. My mother found me. I moved out first even though I'm the youngest out of two siblings. They were my half siblings but they were both their favorites. Mom had my brother Mitch and dad had my sister Alana. Mitch at least gave a damn about me while Alana had everyone wrapped around her finger. But when I was born, Alana threw a temper tantrum and Mitch was excited. Even though I don't really talk to my siblings and family, I still kinda care about them.

"So, what are you doing here f****t?"

"I-I'm with my f-fiance."

Mom rolled her eyes.

"And who in the right mind would want to marry a pathetic slob like you?"

That's when Justin walked up behind me and placed a hand on my shoulder. He squeezed it gently but I knew he was angry.

"So you're saying that the chief of police is not in the right mind?"

I saw that mom went very pale.

"Y-your with the Ch-chief?! WHAT STUPID ATTEMPT DID YOU DI THIS TIME F****T!"

"You have abused this handsome young man. You have abused him and neglected him. No wonder he left your ass! If you actually took the time to actually raise him, you'd see that hes a fucking genuis! He would've made a great botanist like my mother! I hope you enjoy your permanent mistake. You'll never get the chance to raise this handsome young man ever again."

He then grabbed my hand and took me away from my mother. Tears fell from my eyes as he took me back to the car.

"When we get home, you're gonna be the king of this universe. No matter what anyone tells you. Understand?"

"Yes sir."
