Jo lays on her back staring up at the sky, staggering breaths escapes her mouth as the pain in her shoulder travels over her body. It burns and she can feel her blood soaking into her dress making it damp and cold against her skin.

The Telmarine grabs his sword from the ground and lifts it up, preparing to plunge it straight down into Jo's stomach. The pain is too great for her to even make an effort to move so she squeezes her eyes shut and waits.

"Ugh!" She hears the Telmarine groan and opens her eyes to see Edmund standing over them with his sword in the soldiers chest. He was fighting near by and heard Jo's scream, he saw the dagger being staked into her shoulder and ran over to her as fast as his legs could allow him to.

Edmund puts his foot against the soldier's chest and knocks him away before kneeling at Jo's side, he grabs the hand of her uninjured arm and places a hand on her cheek turning her to look at him, "Hey, you're going to be okay. I promise."

He takes his sword and cuts a long strip of fabric from the bottom of Jo's dress, "Sorry about that." He says and Jo gives a pained laugh. "I have to lift your arm to wrap this, okay?"

Jo nods and Edmund leans over her, as gently as he possibly can he lifts her arm up and slips the fabric underneath. Jo screams out again and she grips Edmund's arm tightly, digging her nails into him as he ties up her wound.

Once he's finished he put's his sword away then grabs hers putting it away as well before slipping his arm under her, Jo wraps her arm around the back of his neck as he lifts the both of them to their feet.

"Thank you." Jo huffs out staring intently at the boy holding her upright.

Edmund looks into her emerald eyes, "No problem." He says as he watches Jo's lips open slightly, almost inviting him in.

Suddenly the ground shakes for a moment and then they're surrounded by trees. Roots fly everywhere attacking the Telmarine army.

"Lucy wasn't kidding." Jo says amazed.

The two teenagers walk over to Caspian and the two oldest Pevensies who are also watching the trees take out the enemy.

"Jo?" Susan's face drops when she see the condition of her friend, "What happened?"

Jo shakes her head, "Don't worry about it, we have a battle to win don't we?"

"For Aslan!" Peter shouts and the Narnians rush forward. The atmosphere is different this time, they're much more confident now that the land is alive again and on their side.

Edmund quickly lifts Jo and himself onto a horse and they charge into the battlefield with the rest of the army. The Telmarines turn into the woods, Jo assumes they're returning to the river where they saw them when they first arrived to Narnia.

Once to the embankment Jo and Edmund hop down of the horse to see that the Telmarine army has halted at the edge of the bridge. The Narnians do the same behind their Kings and Queen.
