ZAYN'S POV

"Let's got inmates!" The tall and muscular guard calls as the cell doors open.

This place is a dump. They don't even make any effort to make it clean for us but yet again, we are prisoners.

We don't deserve to be in a clean place if we've done something dirty to get in here.

We've spent two nights here and I've gotten no sleep at all. You can't even call the beds real beds. It's just a thin piece of foam on a metal frame with no blankets or pillows. The cell can't fit more than three people if we wanted to and my neighbour takes a shit every night and it's the loudest thing I've ever heard.

The food is also horrible. It's a bunch of blob that they throw on a tray with a small bit of water. We don't even get plates or real utensils. We have these cardboard forks and spoons. No knives.

This place sucks ass and I'm ready to leave.

I try to find Liam as I walk out of my cell and I spot him about 5 cells down. He meets my eye and nods before looking to the ground so no one suspects anything. I'll be doing the key work because of his leg. He can barely walk as it is so I want him to take it easy until we have to make a run for it.

My stomach feels like the knife is still there and is being twisted over and over again. I'm holding everything in and I know Louis will have something for me to take. He always does.

"Excuse me? I'd like to use the bathroom before we go out" I lowly tell the guard.

He just looks at me and pushes me forward. I don't know if that means a yes or a no. These fuckers don't talk unless it's to scream at you.

"Ah fuck!" I scream out, doubling over and holding my stomach.

"Keep walking inmate!" The guard shouts from behind me.

I discretely throw the stitch that I just pulled out onto the ground and hold up my shaky hands that now have blood on them. The guard rolls his eyes and pulls me the opposite way.

"Going to the infirmary" he tells another passing guard.

When I pass Liam, he seems worried that this isn't a part of my plan but I quickly nod, letting him know that everything is working fine. He nods back but still looks worried as he continues walking to the outside door.

When we get to the nurse, the guard waits inside the room by the entrance, keeping his eyes on me as the nurse brings me over to a bed. She doesn't speak or ask me what happened, she just pulls my jumper down until she has a perfect view on my down open injury.

It takes her a good five minutes to stitch it back up, me clenching my jaw anytime she sticks the needle in my skin without warning.

When she's done, I slowly stand up and zip up my jumper and walk back to the guard. I take a deep breath, not only for the pain but for the nerves and I walk out the door.

He has a tight hold on my arm and is pulling me along with him as he says, "waste my fucking time because of a damn stitch!"

I don't reply because I know it won't end well for me if I do and I instead do what I'm here to do.

I swing my elbow into his stomach, causing both of us pain. He stumbles a few steps back, his face becoming red with rage. Because I'm already weaker than him, it's easy for him when he smashes my back against the wall and punches me in the face.

"That just earned you a few more years" he says through gritted teeth.

I push him back in one quick motion that he wasn't expecting and I grab the side of his head with my two hands and bring it forward so it smashes against my levitated knee.
