"Big bro, big sis! Come here and look!"

I ran up to Kami to see what he wanted me and Leema to see. As I got to the top of the hill I looked out to see a giant city. My eyes widened. "Do we have to go throught that?" I asked, looking at Leema.

He nodded. "Yes."

I whinned. "But why?"

"Because it's the fastest way to get to Hargeon. It's not like we can just fly over there, you know." Leema crossed his arms.

My eyes lit up. "Heh. That is where you are wrong, my friend. I say that it's time to learn how to fly."

"Really?!" Kami smiled brightly and ran over to me, giving me a hug. "Wow! I get to learn how to fly!"

Leema gave me a strange look. "What do you mean, learn how to fly?"

"Demi-dragons can grow wings and a tail, therefore we can fly." I told him. "Kami here has been dying to learn. I'd say that you should learn too."

Leema quickly looked left and right. "But...uh...."

I frowned. "But what?"

"I'm...afraid of heights."

My eyes widened. "You serious?" Leema nodded in answer. "Uh, well, okay. I suppose that you'll need to get over that fear at some point soon."

Leema blushed a bit(I assumed in embarrassment) and looked away. "I-it's not big deal. I can get over it."

I laughed a bit. "I-I'm sorry! It's just that you're a demi-dragon and afraid of heights!"

Leema frowned. "I don't see how that's so funny."

"Whatever, tsundere," I giggled, wiping away a tear at the corner of my eye. "Come on. I'll teach you both how to get your wings."

"I have wings!" Kami cried out, giggling as he ran around in circles after his tail. His wings were a deep forest green like his eyes, but his tail was a dirt brown like his hair.

Leema's wings and tail were both a dark blue color, and he stood still without looking at them with his arms crossed. I willed my wings to grow out, and flapped them a few times to strech them out.

"Alright," I said, taking a deep breath. "Flying isn't as easy as flapping you're wings. The easiest thing to do is jump from a high place and glide first. We can start with that."

"Okay!" Kami cheered and Leema nodded. I led them both over to the end of the hill that was actually a cliff side.

"This will work," I nodded. "I want you to jump off and shift your bodies horizontally. Then spread your wings and glide to the ground. If you need any help, just yell for me, okay?"

Both Leema and Kami nodded, and approached the cliff side hesitantly. Kami jumped off right away and did just what I said, landing gracefully. "BIG SIS! I DID IT!" He called back up to me and Leema.

I giggled. "GOOD JOB, KAMI!" I called back, before looking to Leema. "Come on, Leema, you can do it!"

Leema sighed, looking over. "It's a long way down."

"Yeah. But you have to get over your fear of heights. Just do what I said and you'll be fine." I jumped off and glided down to Kami. Once I reached to bottom I looked back up to Leema. "Come on, Leema! Jump!"

Leema waited for a moment, before he jumped. I smiled as he began to glide down, but then his wings caved upwards and he was falling fast. "KIDA!" He called.

My eyes widened and I prepared to jump up and fly, but before I could a different winged figure flew down and grabbed Leema, helping him down to the floor. Me and Kami ran over right away. "Big bro, are you okay?" Kami asked.

Leema slowly nodded, and I looked up to see...

...Nefta Batibat.

I smiled. "Nefta!"

Nefta looked at me and smile back. "Kida!"

"Nefta?" Leema asked, looking up at her. When he saw her, he frowned and glared at her. "How great to see you."

Nefta looked down. "Hello, Leema."

Leema stood up and dusted himself off. "I would have thanked you for saving me...but I'm not going to."

Nefta keeps looking down. "I'm sorry..."

I frowned, looking between the two. Leema walked away, and Nefta refused to lift her head. There was silence between us for a moment, until it was broken by Kami. "Hello! I'm Kami. What's your name?"

Nefta looked up and smiled a tiny bit. "I'm Nefta Batibat."

"Great! Can we be friends?" Kami asked, running over and hugging her leg.

Nefta looked surprised for a moment, before she smiled, knelt down, and hugged Kami back. "Of course, Kitten."

Kami looked surprised for a moment, before smiling back and giggling.

It was later that night and we had made a small campfire at the bottom of the cliff. Leema and Nefta ended up staying as far away from each other as possible, which made me kind of sad. I walked over to Leema to see what was wrong. "Hey, what's up?" I asked him, poking his shoulder as I sat down.

"It's that creature." He growled.

"What creature?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Nefta." He snapped the stick he had in his hands. "You do know that she is half-Angel-half-Daemon, right?"

"Yes," I nodded. "But what does that have to do with anything?"

"It's because she's half-Angel-half-Daemon. The species are mortal enemies, and eventually almost all creatures chose sides. The Dragons, Fairies, Spirits, and Unicorns defended the Angels. The Pegasi, Demons, Shadows, and Dark creatures took the side of the Daemons. So when Nefta was born, almost all species rejected her. I do too."

I frowned. "But why?"

"Did what I just tell you not make any sense?"

"Not really," I said. "You're the son of a Dragon and a human. Both species despise each other. I'd say that you both are actually really similar." Leema just starred at me for a moment, while I smiled at him, patting his shoulder as I stood. "You can always come and join us." I told him, walking back to Nefta and Kami.

The next day, Nefta decided to join us on our journey. Because the boys still didn't know how to fly very well, we were walking instead. Azrael(or as I liked to call him, The Bubble) showed up and Nefta was talking with him and Kami. Leema had his arms crossed and was looking straight ahead.

"Come on, be nice." I told him, elbowing his arm.

He rubbed it, frowning at me. "I just can't."

I smirked. "Oh? Do you just hate her 'cause you admire her?"

Leema gave me an astonished look. "Excuse me? I don't admire her."

"Riiiiiiight," I kept smirking.

"Kida, don't you dare start to assume that I actually admire a creature like her." He hissed.

I dropped the smirk and sighed. Nefta's really nice. Come on, just be nice for a little bit."

Leema shook his head 'no'. "Not happening."

This was going to be a long trip.
