Picture of Nefta ^^

I slowly opened my eyes, groaning. It almost seemed a mistake, waking up, for all the pain that I had recieved from my battle with Zeref came right back at me. I slowly started to sit up, but then thought against it and quickly laid back down upon feeling the pain in my ribs.

"You are awake?" I heard a timid voice ask.

I turned and looked to see a girl with long blonde hair, braided with what looked to be three other braids. She wore a white tunic with black leggings, and a belt on her waist, though she didn't have any shoes. Her skin was pale, and looked almost like tree bark, with black lines running up her skin. She had large wings covered in feathers, going from pure white to black. A dragon-like tail was around her legs, though the only thing that sort of creeped me out was the fact that her eyes were white with no pupils.

"Y-yeah..." I answered, looking away.

"You will want to be careful," She said. "You broke many bones, and not all of them are quite healed yet."

"Did you heal me?" I asked.

"I helped a little bit," She answered. "But you did most of the work on your own."

"Yeah," I said, looking away a little bit. "That would be my dragon healing..."

There was silence between the two of us for a few minutes. It seemed to cross my mind that this girl was not a small talker, but was quite shy, and perhaps didn't even speak to people very often. I was sure that she could get quite lonely, so I thought to myself that I would stay with her.

"Um...How long was I out?" I asked her, breaking the silence.

"About a day." She answered.

"Where am I?"

"Fiore, near the boarder mountains. You landed in the water and didn't swim back up, so I dived in and rescued you."

I smiled to her. "Thank you. I owe you my life."

The girl looked away, as though embarrassed. "You do not owe me anything."

I raised an eyebrow. "Of course I do. Why wouldn't I?"

The girl remained silent.

I sighed. "My name is Kida, by the way. Kida Draconic. What's your name?"

The girl looked at me, though she did not say anything. I couldn't tell if she was trying to decide to tell me or what, because her face didn't seem to hold any emotion. She looked almost scared, but I didn't know what she could or would be scared of.

"I like your wings," I told her, smiling. "I'd show you mine, but I can't sit up."

I could see her eyes widen partly. "You have wings too?"

I nodded, smiling brightly.

"Then, are you an angel?"

I stopped smiling. "Uh, no. I'm a demi-dragon. My Mom is a dragon, and my Dad is a human."

I could almost see a slight smile on her face. "I am part daemon and angel."

"Really?" I asked. "That's cool! My Mom has told me before that angels are really wise and beautiful, and that they will watch over humans and protect them sometimes."

"Wh-what did she tell you about..." The girl drifted off. "...Daemons."

"Well, she said that they are usually all black and have wings that look like dragons, but no pupils in their eyes. She also said that they're tricksters, but not many of them are evil, like many stories say. They just like to play pranks."
