Chapter 1: "New world, same city"

Location: Belgrade, Serbia
Konstantin's POV]

I slowly open my eyes to see the sky in grey clouds, I then look around me to see where am I in Belgrade. Looking to my left I see the National Assembly, or what's left of it. There were barricades all around it, old rusty cars, military equipment too.

Konstantin: Dear God...

Cyril: There's more.

Konstantin: No...

don_cossack: I forgot to mention that, this will go slightly off-lore, why? I played the game once, then I couldn't access it at some point. And I don't plan on wasting God knows how many hours trying to get to the point of the lore. And it's just like any other video game lore: long and confusing. Back to the story.

We stood there in silence for a moment.

Konstantin: Are there any refugees here?

Cyril: In the unerground.

Konstantin: Just like the movie?

Cyril: Just like the movie.

Konstantin: Where exactly-

iDroid: The map has been updated.

I pull it out and a hologram of Belgrade appeared and an arrow of where I'm standing is on it. 

Konstantin: I forgot I had this. Now let's get going.

Cyril: Let's go.

I place a point of where I'm going, it appeared on my HUD aka the glasses of the gas mask, and pull out my Zas M72 and I'm on high alert. I was looking at the buildings around the city. A person cannot do this, but a thing can. While we were going to the point we picked up any kind of supplies; food, water, ammo. Anything at this point, we'll need it. We were walking for about half an hour already.

Cyril: When are we going to arrive?

Konstantin: A little more thank 15 minutes.

Cyril: Alri-

Someone was talking behind a corner, I looked at Cyril and he at me, we quickly went behind the nearest cover: a flipped car. We were whispering right now.

Konstantin: If we talk, we're dead. So keep quiet.

The talking got louder and louder, it sounded... feminine? I pick up a big shard of glass and point it over the car to see who it is. I was surprised nonetheless.

Konstantin: I thought you said cyborgs or androids took over combat? Not girls.

Cyril: Those are androids.

Konstantin: Let's say I believe you.

???1: so why are we sent here again?

Konstantin/Cyril: Shh!

???2: Well the AR team lost contact with us somewhere in Siberia so we are currently available for operations.

???1: So that's why we are getting more orders.

Their talking got quieter until they were finally gone.

Konstantin: That was close.

Cyril: Indeed...

Konstantin: ...

Cyril: ...

Konstantin: Should we follow them?

Cyril: I think we should. But keep distance. 

Konstantin: You got it.

We started following the squad to where they were going. Nothing much was happening, apart from small shootouts, which they got taken care of. From what we've learned the androids are literal embodiment of guns. There was the Nagant revolver, the M1911, MP40, Sten smg, Springfield and that's it. I just kept an eye out for valuable information. Something about Kryuger, Persica and inelegance something about that. They continued to move into Belgrade until they met someone rather special.
