Chapter 29: "One last push"

Berlin, Germany
No one's POV

Konstantin was discussing with his officers what to do next in this operation—seeing that the brief walk through Berlin wasn't hitting it. He had the battle-hardened Serbs, blood-thirsty Russians, and revenge-seeking Poles. Well, they were doing great; with low casualties, but as they shot an enemy, three more came back. A sergeant entered the building where Konstantin was to inform him something.

Konstantin: What is it, Sergeant?

Sergeant: Sir, the T-dolls that laid down their arms are coming over here.

Konstantin: Good. The backup is here.

Sergeant: Sir?

Konstantin: They are here to help us. We got ourselves a victory.

He went outside to greet the T-dolls, he was met with a platoon worth of them.

Konstantin: Nice to see you all again- Where are the others?

Vector: They are in other parts of the city, commander.

Konstantin: They knew what I was gonna tell them.

Vector: That is?

Konstantin: Spread out, and shoot anything that moves apart from friendlies.

A hotel was hit not far from them, and most of the T-dolls ducked down o went to the floor, Konstantin looked behind him with a frown on his face.

Konstantin: Blin...

KSVK: A lot happened while we were behind lines. Aren't you worried about these explosions?

Konstantin: Nope. This is like a Tuesday morning for me. Are you in contact with the other T-dolls?

KSVK: Yeah.

Konstantin: Tell them not to attack until I give the order. We have to weaken them... again.

KSVK: Okay.

Timeskip

It is 5 AM, and the city is quiet, with not a single soul to be seen. Apart from Konstantin looking down a street, trying to find someone. After around 15 minutes, a group of soldiers were going down the street where Konstantin was. Those soldiers were demolitions, pyrotechnicians, and pyromaniacs.

Konstantin: Did you do it?

Demo Soldier: We did, sir. On your mark.

Konstantin: Excellent, wait here.

He went to some soldiers on fire watch to wake the others.

Konstantin: This is our final blow to the enemy, wake everyone here.

The soldiers saluted and left in a hurry, after 40 minutes most of the soldiers were around Konstantin. Vehicles were there too, T-dolls were in the back as a plan B. Konstantin looked at the demolitions and ordered them to set the explosives off. They did so and a lot of explosions were heard, he led his men into a charge.

The charge was filled with unique war cries by rage-filled soldiers. After they moved through one street, they were met with the enemies recovering from the explosions. But no-quarter it was. His men shot at the enemy position and they went into hand-to-hand combat against the enemies.

As the CQC is going on there, the others have pushed through the first part of the resistance and were going to the next area with defenders. And as soon as they arrived they were shot at by LMG fire.

Konstantin: Fall back! And HOLD!

The soldiers were shooting back but it was in vain, they weren't hitting shit.

Konstantin: Let the BTRs go first, they will provide cover!

The BMPs and BTRs were going in there first, with soldiers going behind them firing at the enemies. One man from the anti-tank team shot his RPG at the foes. They then went in a hurry to take the position.

Konstantin: Hold this position! There is a lot of them out there!

They were close to the Reichstag, but they knew that it will get fucked. The defenses were going to get tighter. And to top it all off.

Corporal: GAS!

Konstantin: GET YOUR MASKS ON! NOW!

They all did it in a hurry, and they managed to survive this too.

Konstantin: Where are the T-dolls?

Sergeant: Over there, sir.

He pointed a block down.

Konstantin: Thank you.

Konstantin went down the block and saw his T-dolls there.

Konstantin: I was never more glad to see you alive and well.

Mosin-Nagant: I don't know how to respond to this.

Konstantin: You don't need to. Listen, my soldiers can't go through this. I need you to attack the enemies. You are the most combat-ready, and you even have advanced gear.

KSVK: Okay.

Konstantin: I will give you any- wait you agree?

KSVK: It's for the greater good. We will go there and do as you order.

Konstantin: Well I'll be going with you.

Python: I don't think that's a good idea commander.

Konstantin: When did I ever have good ideas? Also if Angelina is here, tell her to go to Moscow, my orders. If she doesn't want to go, tell her it's for your and everybody's own good.

Meanwhile

Cyril was doing paperwork and waiting for Konstantin to call him any moment now, but...

Cyril: Something bad will happen.

Helian: What do you mean?

Helian was helping him in his office.

Cyril: I mean what I mean. I need to go, Oleg!

Oleg, Cyril's personal assistant, entered his office.

Oleg: Yes, sir?

Cyril: Can you take over my work? I need to go to do some business.

Oleg: Of course. Best of luck.

Cyril: Thanks, you too.

He took his helmet, coat, and rifle. Then he left for Berlin.

Cyril: What are you up to now, Konstantin? Always getting into trouble.
