Chapter 9: "Green stuff"

No one's POV]

It was morning, 7 am, Konstantin had woken up, Helian was still sleeping, he kissed her on the cheek, went out of bed and out of his bedroom to change. When he got changed into his combat clothes/uniform, Kalina entered his office.

Kalina: Good morning commander.

Konstantin: Morning. What do you need?

Kalina: I came here to inform you that you are going on a mission with Task Force DEFY to search for some kind of artifact.

Konstantin: Who?

Kalina: The task force consists of Angelia, a former commander here and the leader, AK-12, AK-15, AN-94 and RPK-16. You shall be going with them.

Konstantin: Can't I have some time to slack off.

Kalina: I've tried it.

Konstantin: And?

Kalina: Had to fill a bunch of reports.

Konstantin: A whole pile?

Kalina: Yup. Well, I'll be going now.

Konstantin: Bye.

He then went to his table to rethink his life choices. He heard shuffling in his bedroom and knew what's happening in there.

Helian: Ugh...

She exited his bedroom holding her head.

Konstantin: Told you not to finish the whole bottle.

Helian: And I regret it. How aren't you like me after all those vodka shots?

Konstantin: I've been drinking since I was 11. 

Helian: ......

Konstantin: Don't be surprised, it's common among Slavs.

Helian: And your smoking?

Konstantin: Oh that's when I was 12.

Helian: Another common thing among Slavs?

Konstantin: Yes.

They just stared at each other in silence.

Helian: Just keep those habits to a minimum will you?

Konstantin: You got it.

MP40: Uhm...is he-?

Cyril: Petting a bear? Yes.

Konstantin was in the woods petting a brown bear.

Konstantin: dog

He continued petting it.

Konstantin: I shall name you: Predrag (a/n: literal translation from the name is 'too dear', you can google it and it's a name).

Cyril: OI! Dumbfuck! The task force arrived!

Konstantin: Coming!

Meanwhile..

Angelia: What do you think the commander is going to be like?

AN-94: Not sure..

AK-15: Probably the same as the other ones.

???: What was that?

She turned around and aimed her weapon at the person. She was met with a vest in front of her.

Konstantin: Look up.

She looked up to see the goliath himself.

Konstantin: To clarify, I'm different from 'others'. 

She stepped back a little, his gaze fell upon Angelia.
