"Willow..Willow wake up!" I hear a voice say as I struggle to open my eyes, I catch a glimpse of a familiar face before my eyes shut again. "How is she Mush..?" Jack said while walking into the room,"She was awake again, but I hink shes drifted off now" He replied "When was da last time she woke up?.." Jack said walking over beside Mush who was leaning over beside me as I layed on my bed,"Nearly two weeks ago when I was running back to da lodging house wit her in ma arms.." Mush replied looking at Jack's concerned face. "Just..give her some more time.." He replied patting Mush on the back as he walked away,"Come on Willow..." He said touching my face softly "Ya gotta wake up soon.."He said as tears filled his eyes. The newsies left to sell papes aswell as Mush,"Look Mush she's gonna wake up soon alright...I know she will" Racetrack said putting his arm around him,"Yeah any day now.." Blink added on, as they went there separate ways to sell their papes. When night time came around again Mush ran upstairs to see if I was awake, he saw my hands twitching and my eyes moving "Willow?" He cried out "Mush.." I says slowly opening my eyes,"Wi- willow.." He says as a smile appeared on his face. He wrapped his arms tightly around me "But I..." I said wondering what was happening "I died.." I said confused "What.." Mush said looking at me concerned now "The ice cracked...I died" I repeated "No we..we got you back to the lodging house and you just weren't waking up" He said giving me a reassuring smile "No I didn't have a pulse Jack said so...I died...I saw it all..." I said with tears in my eyes "Maybe it's was just a big dream den sunshine.." He said wiping away my tear."Mush I saw yous all crying you were always sitting on the roof...It felt so real" I said while freaking out "Shh..baby" He said while hugging me "That didn't happen...and your here breathing and alive now...don't worry.." He replied comforting me. I was freaked out and confused I was so use to Mush not being able to see, hear or feel me."Here ya hungry.." He said while handing my some soup "Thanks Mush" I reply with my hands shaking, "Here let me help ya" Mush said while taking the bowl and placing it on my lap, he crawled onto the bed and sat facing me,"How long was I out for..?" I said while quickly shoving the warm soup in my mouth as my stomach growled with hunger, "Nearly two weeks..." He replied looking at me with a frown. I stopped eating "Two weeks.." I said looking him in the eyes, "I knew I heard a angels voice up here.." Jack said grinning as he walked over to give me a hug."Hey Jack.." I said with a smile as he pulled me in for a big hug "Hiya kid" He said patting my back "Hiya darling how ya feeling" Another voice said, I turned round to Racetrack walking down towards us snapping his fingers in excitement "Hiya race.." I say as he hands me his cigar to have some puffs out of it "I'm doing alright just hungry" I say grinning "So this is Willow en.." I hear a unfamiliar voice say "Oh dis is Davey" Jack says excitedly going over and patting David's chest. "Hi.." He says while sticking out his hand for you to shake,"Who this.." I says turning my attention to a small little boy "Oh..I'm Les" He reply's wiping some crumbs of his face before shaking my hand "You are just the cutest!" I say smiling at him."Ya can meet there older sistah Sarah later!.." Jack says laughing. "Guys..can yas keep it down!" Skittery says from down stair oblivious of me being awake "Oh Skittery your always in a bad mood!" I replied. He must of been shocked cause he came running straight upstairs "WILLOW..!" He said shocked as he hugged me. "Hey hi to you too" I replied laughing,"Yous coulda said she was awake yano.." He said grinning rolling his eyes looking at the others.
