Chapter 4: March

It's been about three months since I learned that a kaiju shouldn't exist. I've been training ever since then no matter what the weather was. Master serizawa told me that if i kept this up, eventually I would be the best swordsman ever. I was slowly becoming less and less of an outcast. Mostly because I was the strongest person in the world. I had so much confidence that I was even able to ask out this girl who has dark brown hair and brown eyes. She's about five foot four inches, which is 5 inches shorter than me. She's half asian and half american and we've been going out for almost two months now and I still don't have any plans for sharing my secret. Tomorrow I am going to infant island. But for now I enjoy my time at Chloe's house. We sit in her living room and talk alot. We do normal stuff like post pictures of each other on things like snapchat and instagram. "It's getting lat but I gotta go, babe." I say. "Alright, bye Logan." She says back. Just as I'm about to exit the door she grabs my arm and pulls me back. I look at her and she gives me the first kiss. We exchange "I love you's" and I walk home in a daze. I come home and go straight to my room. I lay on my bed and stare at the ceiling smiling to myself. I look at the wall and see yet another box. I open it. Inside is a black mask. It had two large white eye lenses, and red web-like flames covering it. Inside was an entire body suit made out of the same material. What? Does Master Serizawa want me to become a vigilante? I think to myself. I think of how awesome it would be but then I realize that I'm meant for things much bigger than that. Just then I hear footsteps a few streets away. I vicious banging on a door. How convenient, I think to myself. I open my window and leap out and run straight toward my girlfriend's house. I didn't want to draw any attention, so I went through her backyard. I wanted to catch the robbers by surprise so I chose not to go through the back sliding glass door. I looked up and saw a room that had a window. The light was off inside. I focused my strength into my legs and jumped to the window. I looked inside and saw Chloe flinch. She moved away from the window. I could tell that she was scared. I sighed to myself. My first and probably only time doing something like this and I'm already revealing my secret identity. I reached for the back of my mask and pulled it off. My hair was scruffy from the static. She opened the window. "How did you get up here?" She asked quietly. "I'll show you when this is all over." I replied as I put my arm around her shoulder. "I heard a gun shot." I told her. She whispers back. "There are people in my house." I look out the crack of her bedroom door. "I'll be right back." I said as I started to walk out the door. She tugged on my arm. "Babe please don't go." She said as she started to cry. I turned and put my hands on both of her shoulders. "Look, I'll be fine." I said. I kissed her and walked out the door. I start down the stairs when I hear wailing. Then I hear shouting. "WHERE IS IT?!" The voice boomed. I put my mask on and sneak down the stairs and saw that the voice belonged to a robber. "HEY!" I shouted at him. He turned and shot at me. The bullet went into my shoulder but I walked towards him. He shot at me again and again. I looked over and saw Chloe's dad on the floor bleeding, with a bullet hole in his chest. I stood right in front of him. I grabbed his shirt collar and pulled him right to my level as my eyes started to glow blue. He's eyes were full of fear. I lifted him up and tossed him into a wall immediately knocking him out. I hear some glass fall and as I look over at the noise, I see the back of another man's shoe. I crouch down to Chloe's mother. "I'll be right back." I say. Immediately I stand up and focus my strength into my legs. I chased him down and once I got just behind him I pushed on the back of his head and he tumbled. I grabbed the bag of valuables and ran both the bag and him back to the house. I put the bag down by Chloe's mom. I run upstairs to Chloe's room, I grab a home phone and call the cops. Once they pull up I hug Chloe and jump out of her window and run home.
