Chapter 14

Rydel POV

Ugh, how can she DO THIS TO HIM?! He's in the lobby looking like a statue with water coming from his eyes. I marched into her room to find her staring blankly into space.

"Why did you break up with him?!"

"I want him to be happy." She said calmly.

"He's happy with you!"

"Can you read his mind?"

"What? No."

"Then don't tell me he's happy with me. People can cover up their emotion so easily. Not even the people who know them can know."

"He told you he loved you."

"Loved. Past tense." She looked at me. Her eyes empty almost scaring me.

"I love him." She continued.

"Then wh-"

"Because I love him, I want him to be happy. Not have the thought that his girlfriend is dying."

"What if he was in this position then, huh? What if he's the one wanting to die?"

"As long as he's happy, so am I."

"Mar-"

"Did you hear about how Sky is pregnant?"

Oh my gosh. I can't tell her.

"Rydel.. is there something you aren't telling me?"

"Pshh, what? No." I put my hand up. Marina moved over and patted her hand on the bed. Of course I sat with her.

"Rydel, tell me."

"It's not his son. Sky cheated on him for this guy named Jake. She told me that it's his kid, not Ellington. But when se found out that he likes you she used her pregnancy to an advantage. Which brings us to now." I spat out. It's the honest truth. She just looked at me for a second and then got up. I grabbed her skinny arm and pleaded her to not tell. She told me that he has enough burdens and this can't be one of them. I agreed and let go. She ran away to tell him hopefully to get back together with him.

MAR POV

I kept running until i finally found him. He heard my foot steps and smiled when he saw me. Before he could say anything I said, "Sky isn't preggers with your kid. It was with some guy named Jack and she cheated on you."

He looked like he was given 2,000 dollars. I couldn't help but smile about how childish he looked. He stopped what he was doing and took in the fact I was smiling. I gave him a hug and I could feel him twitch at the feeling of my rib cage but hugged back.

"Where does that leave us?" He asked still holding me.

"If I do die, I don't want you to be sad. I want you to forget about me. Move on with your life. Have fun on tour, find a new girlfriend." I let go so I could look him in the eyes. "Be happy."

I tried so hard to not cry. But he has to be happy.

"I love you." He blurted out hopping I wouldn't leave. "Please don't leave me."

"And if i say it back, you'll be heart broken."

"I'll be heart broken anyways."

I kissed his cheek and said goodbye. I walked away with screaming in my head and the sound of crying coming from Ratliff.
