chapter 23

When we got to Olive Garden we were instantly takin to our seats. Everybody sat across from their date while Rydel sat next to me.

When our actual waitress came up to get our order she couldn't help but look at Riker. Uh oh.

"Hello. My name is Miranda and I'll be your waitress today. What can I start you all off with?" She said still staring at Riker. We all gave her our orders and when it came to Riker he asked for water.

"Are you sure sweety? Wouldn't you like a nice drink?" She said twirling her hair around her pinky finger.

"Water will be fine, thank you." He said oblivious of her flirting.

"Are you s-"

"He said he wants water." Aileny cut her off. Miranda death glared her and walked away.

We all talked with our dates and I talked with Rydel and Elli.

"Rydel, do you see that waiter over there?" I pointed to a medium sized figure who couldn't stop glancing at her. She blushed and nodded.

"Go say hi." I gently nudged her. She shook her head no.

"Don't you think he's cute?" Elli asked.

"Well yeah but-"

"He seems harmless." I said before she could procrastinate. She looked down blushing.

"What drink did you have?" I asked.

"Coke. Why?" She asked sounding confused. I stood up and by answering her question I walked over to the waiter.

"Hey, what's your name?" I asked.

"Jake..why?"

"Could you get my friend over there a coke? She's really thirsty and the waitress is taking a while."

Thankfully he caught on to what I was saying to him and quickly walked away to get the drink. I turned around to find Miranda giving Riker an alcohol looking drink. She bent down to give him it awfully close. She even put her hand on his shoulder.

"I didn't ask for this." He said not moving his hand to the drink.

"Water isn't going to help you. Besides if you came alone.. wouldn't you want it?" She asked smiling to him.

"No." He simply said.

"Oh come on.. Have some fun!" She started to twirl his hair in her hand. And he didn't even try to get her to stop!

"What are you doing?" I asked walking up to her.

"This has nothing to do with you, you brat." She spat at me.

"Excuse me." Aileny said standing up walking away. Riker tried to stand up but Miranda pushed him down.

"Take your hand off of him." I said nudging her. Ratliff has seen me punch a girl so he knew he had to end it before it came to late. He grabbed my good hand and held it hoping it would stop me from throwing a punch.

"Don't tell me what to do." She said angry. "Let's go outside, Riker." She kept pushing with him.

I grabbed the drink with my free hand and before anybody could stop me I poured it on her head.

She turned around and raised her hand as if she wanted to slap me but I kicked her shin really hard.

"AHHH" she screamed. Riker was finally able to get away from her and ran after Aileny.

RIKER POV

Now I can finally run after her!

I found her standing outside calling a cab but I was able to catch her before one got to her.

"Aileny." I touched her shoulder and she turned around to look up at me.

"I'm sorry. I didn't throw myself at you. I heard about Mags and I truly am sorry." She tried explaining but I just gave her a tight hug.

"I came to meet you. I wouldn't have came but you are just the sweetest so I had to." I explained still holding her.

"Please don't leave me with her." I pleaded.

"How did you get away from her?" She asked.

"Marina poured my drink on her. Then kicked her in the shin." I laughed at the image.

"Haha. Why?"

"She knew it was uncomfortable for me. She's good." I explained.

"So.. do you wanna go back?" She asked.

"can we go somewhere else?" I asked. I don't wanna go back in there.

"Yes please." She replied. I took her hand and the places between our fingers fit perfectly. We walked to Sonic and to be honest, I thought I'd never have a great date again. She changed that.
