Chapter 25

Marina's POV 

It was around 9am ish when everybody had come into Claudia and I's room and we had finished talking about Rydel's date with Jake and they are now gonna go on another the next day. I suddenly felt my phone vibrating and I saw who it was. I got up to sit on my bed so nobody would hear the covo. 

*phone conversation* 

me: hello? 

mum: Marina. 

me: Hi, mum. 

mum: Why haven't you talked with me for a year? 

me: Why haven't you visited me? 

mum: answer my que- 

me: No. I won't I have been through so much this year and you were never there for me! You never knew what to do with me! My room mate who is my best friend is dead. I tried suicide twice and failed both times! But you know what the bright side of it is? I'm a model now. I have an amazing boyfriend and amazing friends. You giving me up to a clinic that's away from you for the second time and you never visited me! You think it's fine to call me and tell me about how disappointed you are in me for not calling?  

mum: you come home right this instant young lady! 

me: No. Because I have basically on my own for years now. Your opinion doesn't matter.  

mum: I miss you! 

*pause* 

mum: Sweet heart? 

me: It's to late. 

mum: I'M SORR- 

*end of phone conversation*

"Marina?" Stormie asked sitting next to me. 

"What's wrong?" She looked at me with concern. I turn to her tears falling down my cheek and I didn't lift a hand to rub them away as if I wasn't crying.  

"Your kids are lucky to have you." I complemented. She smiled a calm smile. 

"How about we go get food together? Just you and me?" She said standing up.  

"I'd like that." I smiled. 

~after getting food~ 

Stormie and I had a great time. We talked like mother and daughter, we had our laughs and it was great. When we got back i walked up to Ellington and Rocky's room. When Ellington opened the door he smiled at me that smile that always will get to me.  

"Where were you?" He asked. 

"With Stormie. We went out to eat food."  

"Did you have mother problems?" He asked as if he read my mind.  

My silence made him know he was correct so he put his hands on my jaw bone and I put my hand on his hips.  

"If you ever need a shoulder to cry on I'm here. You are beautiful and having you in my life is one of the greatest gifts God can bless me with."  

"GET MARRIED ALREADY." Somebody behind us screamed. I turned to see Delly behind us with her hands covering her mouth. We all laughed a little and Rydel told us about how there is open mic in Smokey Bones and we were all gonna go. So I went back to my room to get ready with the girls.  

When we finally got there somebody was already singing so we took our seats. Even Jake came! 

When we ordered our food and our drinks finally came nobody was at the mic.
