I sit down at my desk and turn on my computer. Time for my nightly file check. It doesn't look like anything has been updated, odd. It's probably a good time to delete these files from my computer, if they stopped updating, it's probably for a reason. It would suck if they found out that someone had hacked into the files.

"Yet another boring day of school, I'm glad I brought my Death Note though. It gave me something to do during lunch." I say to Robo as I approach my house.

"You have too much fun with that." He replies as I open the door. When I close it, I see him go tense.

"Hotaru, don't react to what I'm about to say in any way. There are surveillance cameras and wiretaps in this room, it's safe to say they're all throughout the house as well." Robo says quickly. I freeze for a split second but then continue up to my room. Luckily I'm good at hiding my reactions. I take my school books out of my backpack and study for a bit. While I study, Robo tries telling me where all the cameras are. I guess he doesn't want me getting caught. It's not like I'd risk writing anything in the Death Note while there are cameras anyway. I'll just do it during school. I'm lucky I decided to bring the Death Note with me today.

I finish studying after an hour and pack my school things back into my backpack. Then I grab the book I've been reading off of my shelf and head downstairs. I guess this is a way to show L that I'm gay. I don't know, does reading a book with two gay protagonists make you look gay? Maybe not. At least it's a slight hint. Jeez what if it turns out that L is in his thirties or something, that would be gross. I sit down on the couch and open up to the chapter I left off on. Kaito was in the middle of battling the Dark Warriors with his pirate crew to save Daisuke.

It's kind of hard to read when your little sister is watching an annoying movie in the background.

"Huh, what's this? ICPO? They're saying that in response to the Kira murders, the ICPO has decided to dispatch 1,500 investigators from various developed countries over to Japan." Sayu says. 1500, clearly they're bluffing. If there weren't cameras all around our house I might have believed it but that's just stupid. There's no way they would send that many just after 12 FBI agents were murdered. I keep my eyes focused on my book and pretend like I don't care.

"The ICPO sure is stupid." Light says nonchalantly. Okay this makes me look up.

"What do you mean by that?" So much for not giving them a reaction. I guess I can't keep quiet the entire time, that might seem suspicious.

"I mean there's no point in making this announcement. If they're going to send all these people here to investigate, wouldn't they keep it a secret? Even the FBI agents who were secretly investigating were killed by Kira. Why would this be any different? If you ask me, this is nothing more than a desperate attempt to shock Kira in the hopes that he'll reveal himself somehow. Quite frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if Kira sees right through this." Does Light ever shut up? That sounds like something Kira would say if he was trying to hide himself- I really need to stop with all these 'Light is Kira' things.

I wake up and decide to take my trash down early for garbage day. Might as well act like a nice human being while I'm being watched.

"Oh thank you Hotaru, you usually complain." Mom takes the trash bag from me outside. So much for putting up a nice front, guess mom blew my cover. When she comes back inside she waits for a moment and then accepts that Light was not coming downstairs after me with his trash as well.

"Hotaru, would you mind going and asking Light to bring his trash down please?" She asks sweetly.

"Of course." I head upstairs and knock on Light's door.

"Yeah?" I hear him yawn from inside.

"It's garbage day, mom wanted me to tell you to bring any trash you might have downstairs." Did he just wake up?

"What a pain." He groans. Wow it's almost as if we've switched personalities today.

I go back to my room and get my book, I'm almost at the end. Too bad there's still two more books in the series.

//Time Skip: 12pm\\

I close the book with a disgruntled look on my face. Yet another cliffhanger, this author hates me.

"What's wrong Hotaru?" Sayu asks, she had been in the room watching her dumb show while I was reading.

"Another cliffhanger." I deadpanned.

"Oh, you'd think they would only do that to one book. I guess it makes sense because it's a series though. Are you going to go buy the next one?" She seems intrigued but I really don't care.

"Eh, maybe. I'm going out to eat lunch, see you later." I wave and start putting on my shoes. My wallet is already in my pocket, I had brought it down in case I felt like going out. I head outside with Robo. As soon as I make it out the door I sigh.

"You wouldn't think it would be hard to live under surveillance but it really is. I can't talk to you or anything, it's so boring." I say to Robo as we start walking.

"I know! I have to be extra careful not to move anything by accident." He looks pretty worn out.

"I think I'm going to skip the bookstore today and just get some lunch." I change my direction so I'm headed towards my favorite place to eat lunch.

Ayyyy, fun chapter. Btw what do you think of Robo? I'm curious about other people's opinions on him.
