When i was a kid, i wanted a puppy. The one i had died and for a six years old that was really hard.
In 2012, my parents surprised me with a puppy, my puppy, a baby girl who became my friend, a friend who it didn't matter where we lived, it was there.

This year, this puppy turns ten years of life, of being by my side, of giving my happiness. Its crazy how happy a dog can make you.
We have made a bond, i think she senses when i'm sad or down cause lately she's been giving me more love and tail movements and she's been taking naps by my side, not my sister's side. Mine.

She is mine, only mine, but she is old. And as i write this, she can't properly stand, she can't run and she can't jump. Her life is coming to an end and i don't want that.
My puppy is the only thing that keeps me connected to my childhood, to my grandfather, to a time where i was so innocent nothing could bring me down.
I'm really gonna miss her, i don't want her to go, but when the time comes, i want to be ready to cry for at least four days.
I love you my puppy <3 <3

********************

2018 came with a lot of surprises: change of schools and a new puppy, but this puppy was not a puppy; it was a big dog.
Also a she.
A year and a half of life.
Adopted from an abusive home.

Her name was Teresa, but we changed it. This dog is so pure of heart and sometimes dumb. She loves to jump and she loves being pet.
But she is terrified of water, of sticks and of plastic bags. Who knows what she is been through, that breaks my heart every time i think about it.

I have woken up with her face by my side and we even went to sleep together in a few occasions.
And that doesn't describe the love i have for her.

And for the other one.
For both of my girls.
Today, February, 2022, lying on the floor with both of my big doga by my side, i'm happier; life seems more simple and love is so big it doesn't fit in one chest.

p.s: this chapter is also dedicated to all my past dogs who died, i loved you all <3
