Quickly, how do we feel about a dating sim of this story? It would take really long but I'm just starting to play with this thought.

As everyone was still cheering and celebrating I couldn't help but notice this odd feeling in my stomach.
Ford seemed to notice that too. As he saw Stanley, he grabbed my hand and pulled me with him around the Shack. I didn't even see he pulled Stanley with us as well.

„I didn't wanna say anything with everyone listening, but we've got a problem. Weirdmageddon has been contained but I'm detecting some strange new anomalies near the arctic ocean.", Ford stated and showed us a holographic map of the world on his watch.
„I want to go investigate it but I think I might be too old to go it alone."

„Are you sayin' you need someone to help you sail around the world in the adventure of a lifetime?", Stanley said, his eyes sparkling.

„I don't just want someone to come with me Stanley, I want it to be you two.", he said and looked at us.
Both me and Stanley were smiling but... my smile dropped as I realised something.

„Stanley give us a minute please."
He nodded and disappeared behind the Shack again.
„Is... something wrong? That's what you've always wanted, right?", Ford asked me with a sad expression.

„Yes, I do. But I'm starting to realize...that you two, you and Stanley I mean...you might need some time together to warm up again. On your own, I mean."

„What are you saying, Y/N? I would never leave without you!", Ford said and grabbed my hands, stroking them with his thumb.
My expression saddened.

„But don't you think it would be for the best?"
I grabbed the inside of his jacket to pull out a picture of the ‚Stan-o-War'.
Ford's facial expression showed realisation.

„Both of your dreams do not include me, Stanford."
„Dreams change. And I definitely need you."

„Just as I need you. But think about it. You two have been at odds for so long. It would do you good to spend some time together again. And this investigation seems pretty perfect for it, don't you think?"

„I see what you mean but I could never live without you.", he said, shaking his head.
„How about one year?"
„..."
„A year in which you can become friends again, brothers, and in which I go to visit my parents. I will tell them what I am going to do and then, when you are back, I will move to Gravity Falls."

„It feels so wrong to let you go.", he whispered and drew me in closer.
„What am I supposed to do without you?"
„The things you love.", I smiled.
„I love you, Y/N."

I slightly blushed. „You can do me another time, don't worry.", I chuckled and he blushed as well.

But his expression quickly became serious again. Even if no longer so sad.
„Do I have a choice at all? ...All right. But tell me this... it's not because of me, is it?"
I shook my head. „Of course not. I will gladly travel with you around the world if needed. Only that I really believe I would only stand in your way. Your relationship, I mean. As brothers, you have to stick together. And this would be the perfect moment for you to learn that again. You missed so much time together. It's time to catch up."

He sighed. „I guess you are right, Y/N. But believe me, you will regret it."
That didn't sound mean, didn't sound condescending. No. It sounded honest and sad.
„I know."

So I walked off to get Stanley back so the two of them could have a quiet word.

Then, after a while, the both of them came out again to make an announcement.
„Everyone, I have an announcement to make. Me and my...heh!... nerdy bro over here have some catchin' up to do. We're gonna be away for a while. That's why I'm shutting down the Mystery Shack for good."
The crowd began to gasp and murmur.
