Once again I was packing my suitcase excitedly. My eyes slid over the bulletin board where all the postcards from Stanford and Stanley were hanging. My already big smile widened.

The time had indeed come, finally. Unfortunately, my parents still didn't think much of the idea of building my future in Gravity Falls. However, they did like Stanford. Which really surprised me, since I had expected a huge conflict. And... since they never really met him in person.

Once again, all those wonderful memories came into my mind. I couldn't wait to see them all again. Because even though I had my friends here, my family lays in Gravity Falls.

I had invested in a car from savings, which my parents, for once, approved of.
Anyway. I decided to put on my favorite top. Unfortunately, the turtleneck no longer smelled like Stanford like it did in the beginning, however, it brought back memories.

I hadn't gotten a postcard from him in the last week, which will probably mean they are already on their way back. Or maybe already there.

This time, I took more than one suitcase with me. Because I finally moved to Gravity Falls. I needed something more than a few clothes and books.

When I finally loaded everything into the car, my parents also came out of the house. They stood next to each other, my father putting his hand on my mother's shoulder.
They looked somehow... sad.

"What? I thought you'd be happy to get rid of me.", I laughed jokingly.
"Now don't say that! After all, you're still our little girl.", my mom replied.

"Except I'm not a little girl anymore, Mom."
"You know that you will always be that for us.", my dad said, sounding nostalgic.

"Anyway, I have to go now. They're expecting me at 8.", I said and opened the front door to my car.
"Y/N" my mom began, "We are so proud of you."

I stopped in my tracks to turn around again.
"Thank you."
I hugged both of them.
"And... don't be shy to visit me sometime.", I smiled as I closed the door.
They waved after me, my mom holding her right hand on her chest.

Stanford's point of view:

The kids had arrived just yesterday and were sitting with Stanley and me at the table, eating breakfast.
Soos, who had looked and lead the Mystery Shack while we were gone, was here too.

He talked about new exhibits and attractions, though I wasn't really listening. Stanley, however, was completely engrossed in the conversation.

I poked at my fried egg, as my mind was already back on Y/N. It's been quite a long time since we last saw each other. Every now and then we sent mail to each other, but she usually couldn't reply because I never stayed in one place long enough.

What if she did find someone else? I can't even tell if she's still coming here. The children arrived yesterday, as I said, and actually I had already counted on her by now. 8 o'clock. We had discussed that. But we could not clarify the day. Damn sea, there you just have no connection.

Mabel could tell something was wrong and lightly poked me in the shoulder with her elbow.
"Don't make that face, Great Uncle Ford. We're back, which should be cause for celebration."

I cracked a small smile. „You're right. I'm sorry."

But then I heard a car parking in the yard. Confused and yet with some hope flashing up in my eyes, I looked at Stanley and Soos.
„The Shack is closed today, I announced that, dude.", the big man said.

That was my cue to jump up from my chair. Mabel did the same.
„Is that Y/N?", she called after me but I was already out the door.

I stopped in front of a black car where a woman was closing the door right now. She turned around, because she had apparently heard my quick steps. Mabel also arrived next to me now.
