Chapter 25: Recording and Photoshoot

     A week later I still didn't have a single written. "Whoa Clara are you making a habit of killing trees" Harry joked walking into my room. "Not now Styles" I responded throwing a crumpled up piece of paper at him. "What's up with all the crumbled up paper Clara" Harry asked. "I can't write a song" I answered, "nothing is coming to mind." "You've never had to write a song for something this big before" Harry said, "it's understandable." "It's stressful" I said correcting him. "Just have fun with it Clara, let loose" Harry said. "And if he doesn't like it" I asked. "Then you can make another one" Harry answered. I smiled and gave him a hug. "Thanks Harry" I said "no problem" Harry said then he left. Before I knew it I had a song written. 

     The next day on Tuesday I had to wake up early. Simon had scheduled my photo shoot for today. I took a shower and washed my hair. When I was done I dressed into a pair of sweatpants and a tank top. I went into the kitchen and ate a quick breakfast. Harry came into my flat fully dressed. "You're taking me" I said raising an eyebrow. "Yes I am" Harry said with a smile. "Don't kill me" was all I said before walking out the door. "That was one time" Harry defended following me and closing and locking the door.      

      We dropped the song off at Syco Records then went to the photoshoot. "Right on time" the photographer said with a smile. "I'm John and I'll be your photographer today." "Nice to meet you" I said with a nervous smile. "No need to be nervous sweet cheeks Rachel here will take care of you" John said. "Right this way Clara" Rachel said. I followed her to my dressing room. 

      20 minutes later I was dressed and everything. I was wearing a off the shoulder black top, short jean shorts, knee-high converse, a long gold necklace, and hoop earrings. I was wearing natural make-up that made my skin glow and my eyes pop. Rachel somehow managed to tame my hair so it was in controlled waves.

       I went to where John was taking his pictures. " Clara dear you look stunning" John said, I blushed lightly "thank you John." "Alright lets do some test pictures first so you get used to it" John said. "Alright" I said walking over to the green screen. John had me do some over the top poses until I was used to it.

      "Alright Clara I'm going to take some real photos now" John said. I nodded my head and did everything he told me to do. I messed up on some because Harry kept making me laugh. "Clara turn around then look at me over your shoulder without a smile" John said, I did so. "Okay now smile" John said, I gave a smile after looking at Harry make the stupidest face. "Perfect I think we have our picture" John said. Harry looked over his shoulder then gave me a thumbs up "it looks great." "Do you want to see it" John asked. "No thanks I'll take your word for it" I said with a smile. 

          2 days later Simon had the music to go with my song and called me into the studio. The boys came with me for support. "Alright Clara just walk into the booth and put the headphones on" Simon said. I nodded my head and walked inside. "Okay Clara I want you to do some vocal warm ups to get used to the system" SImon said, I nodded my head and did so. 

         "Alright Clara I think you're ready" Simon said. He pushed play and I began.

    "Okay Clara we're going to do this one more time. Just to compare then we'll record the backround vocals for the song" Simon said. I gave him a thumbs up and we did just that. When I was done Simon gave me hug and told me he would call when the song and the cover was done. The boys and I left and went to get something to eat. This week has been amazing.
