Chapter 21: A Rebel in love Part 1

It was a calm night. The moon was half full and the sky was beautiful as it was littered with sparkling stars. But during this time, something was about to happen. In a military base, a huge operation took place. The world's most dangerous weapon known as the DINGUS was about to be transported to a more secure facility.

Agent Fowler was taking care of the whole operation to make sure nothing would happen like last time. Because if the DINGUS had a meltdown, it would release radiation in a whole state and those next to it.

Everyone was holding their breath, hoping that nothing bad would happen. There were at least 50 soldiers guarding the device and preparing it for transportation.

"Everything good?" Agent Fowler asked the soldier next to him.

"Yes, sir." The soldier nodded.

"Good. Make sure the convoy is secure and that it follows the road. No detour. The last thing we need is for this baby to have a meltdown." Agent Fowler reminded him as the soldier nodded.

"Yes, sir." The soldier then left as Agent Fowler watched as the DINGUS was put inside a trailer carefully before a truck driver slowly reversed before attaching itself to the trailer.

Before leaving, a squadron of soldiers got inside the trailer to keep an eye on it and to make sure that nothing happened. Two soldiers got inside the truck. Some others including Fowler got into military vehicles to provide good protection. Without knowing that someone was keeping a close eye on the precious cargo from afar and it was soon revealed to be MECH.

"Do you have an eye on it?" Silas asked the soldier with him as he nodded.

"Then begin the operation. Once we attack, their numbers will decrease. Giving us the chance to grab the DINGUS for ourselves. Move out." Silas ordered as he boarded one of the vehicles.

"MECH 1. Begin attack. Remember, complete immobilization. Don't let them escape with the DINGUS." The first MECH soldier said through the radio as the others nodded.

"Yes, sir."

The MECH soldiers all started preparing their gear. They then suddenly started throwing smoke bombs towards the facility. One of the U.S soldiers saw one but it was too late as the smoke bombs exploded and released a whole lot of smoke causing everyone to go blind and could not see anything.

"What in blazes is going on here?" Agent Fowler wondered in shock as he came out slightly from the door of the vehicle he was in.

The U.S soldiers were starting to fight back but the MECH soldiers used shock guns to immobilize them as Fowler hid back and waited to strike back. When the time was right, he knocked a few of them down as one almost knocked him out but he pushed him back. Finally realizing that MECH was here and that they wanted the DINGUS, he ordered the remaining men to drive the cargo away from the base quickly.

"All troops, move out now!" Agent Fowler shouted as they nodded.

They all get on their vehicles and the trucks start driving away to safety with the cargo. The MECH soldiers who were watching from afar, saw that the convoy was moving out.

"Sir, the convoy is moving." The first MECH soldier notified his leader as Silas gritted his teeth.

"Let's get to the vehicles." He ordered them.
