It was a nice clear day, the sky was blue and almost no clouds in sight. Today Arcee felt like talking to a dear old friend who had long left them and brought Emily with her to the place.
"The sky sure is beautiful. Knowing you, Cliff, you'd say that the only thing that could make the sky look better is a bunch of Decepticons attacking from above. Because they make easy shooting targets. There's something I've been meaning to tell you for a while. But I don't know how." Arcee was talking to a stone grave that was made of stacks of small rocks but Emily knew that it was for the memory of someone who was lost.
"It is okay, Arcee. I know it's not easy but maybe venting this out might help you." Emily puts a hand on the side of her leg as Arcee looks at her with hesitance, unsure on how to tell Cliffjumper's spirit in what has been happening for a while now.
"You're right. I must do it. Here's the thing, partner. I've finally found out who killed you. It was Starscream. When I figured what I had to do, I only had one thought in mind. To kill him and make him pay for what he did. But when I was about to strike him, I realized... that I just couldn't. Despite everything he did, I just couldn't do it. Maybe it was because no matter what I do, I knew you wouldn't come back. I miss you, partner." Arcee said as she felt tears welling up but she wiped her optics before they fell as Emily smiled soft to her.
"Feeling better?" Emily asked her as Arcee nodded with a sad smile.
"A little. But you were right. Telling him might have been the right thing to do. It's just that..." Arcee didn't finish her sentence but Emily knew what she was trying to say.
"You don't know if he's listening to you or not." Emily finished for her as Arcee smiled a little more towards her.
"Yeah that might be." Arcee nodded as she let out a small breath.
"Trust me, Arcee. Wherever Cliff is, he's listening to you. I know it. Can I?" Emily looked up to Arcee with permission as she had a small bouquet of flowers which was red and white and was wondering if Arcee would let her put them in front of Cliffjumper's grave.
Seeing Arcee nod, she nodded back before walking up to the grave and kneeling down before setting the bouquet in front of the grave as Arcee looked at the flowers curiously and couldn't help but ask.
"What are these flowers for?" Arcee kneels down as she takes a closer look before Emily looks up to her with a soft smile before they both look at Cliffjumper's grave.
"It's a human tradition. When someone dies, we bring flowers to commemorate the memories and the moments we shared with them. Now let's have a brief moment of silence. In the memory of Cliffjumper." Arcee nodded as she was moved by what Emily did.
They both have a brief moment of silence and pray to Primus silently. When the moment was over, Arcee started feeling much better now as they both stood up as Arcee felt her spark warm up as if someone was with them.
"You're right, he listened to me. I can feel it now. Thanks for your help, Emily." Arcee ruffled Emily's hair as she giggled.
"My pleasure and don't worry, Arcee. Cliffjumper would be proud knowing that you put a dent on Starscream. Now let us enjoy this amazing view shall we?" Emily suggested as she wanted to enjoy the view of the land as Arcee chuckled as she nodded.
"Sure." Arcee smiled as Emily smiled back as she sat down to enjoy the view.
Arcee and Emily stayed there a bit more to enjoy the magnificent view before them.
