Triton POV

Well this is fucking brilliant. Nothing can go bloody right for us, of course they just had to break through our walls. And can someone tells me where the hell the king is. Surely it hasn't taken him this damm longer to talk to Hades. If his brother refused he should have got his arse back here to help, but no, he seems to insist on waiting to the last bloody minute. It says a lot when his demigod son who has no allegiance or connection to Atlantis is leading his troops into battle, not him. Speaking of Percy, I'm telling you now that kid better get a medal or something. The service he has and is doing this City- when he has no real reason to- is truly incredible.

"Triton sir, we reports that the invading army is closing in on forced the middle ring of the city."

"Of course they are! Alright, set up your troops in a circle all around the middle ring. Make sure that all sides are defended, and defended well at that. Me and Perseus shall go wherever help is most needed."

The merman nodded in response before running off to fulfil my orders.

"Well" I said to Percy "I don't really know what to say, but just don't die."

The battle that ensued would certainly go down in history. To say it was brutal would be the understatement of the century, limbs were flying everywhere and the pools of blood were probably deep enough to drown in. Though, it seemed we'd go down in history as the losers. No matter how hard we tried, there was always more to kill. The wankers never quite seemed to die. Our defences succumbed to their unrelenting advance, and we were forced back to the palace. Suddenly, the atmosphere changed. A sense of power filled the air and I felt a familiar presence. A trident went hurling through the water and slammed into the ground, killing all enemies on the surrounding area.

"Well it took you fucking long enough!" I yelled

"Stop complaining, would you have preferred if I'd not come at all. Where's Percy?"

Pushing down my anger, I answered

"I don't know. Last I saw him he was in a scrap with that Grace fella. You know, the Zeus kid."

"And when was this?"

"A few hours ago. Now can we get on with the battle."

"What about Percy. He could be dead for all we know."

"You think I'm not worried too. I care about the kid just as much as you do but Percy is most likely fine. You know just as well as I do how good he is. Right now, we must focus on not being conquered."

"Fine. But if he's even slightly injured it's your fucking neck on the line."

The battle became a lot easier after the king arrived. Believe it or not, but having one of the big three on your side helps considerably. Their morale boosted by the return of the king, the troops fought on harder than ever and started making up lost ground. A short while later, I spotted Percy in combat with a group of demigods. I stood for a moment and watched with a certain sense of awe as he easily destroyed the poor guys.

"Good to see your still alive!"

"I would say the same only you can't die anyway. I see fathers finally returned, certainly took him long enough."

"Agreed."

"Well, hopefully I'll see you when the battles over" Percy called running over to engage a automaton.

The next few hours were the same. Just kill one enemy and move on to the next. It felt like it was never going to end. But slowly, very damm slowly, it did. After gods knows how long, there was no one left to fight. All the invaders had either been killed or surrendered.

The battle of Atlantis was over.
