dereks basket ball game had arrived father then he could run- and that was saying something-.he hadn't eaten all day, nerves had gotten to him.
all day what his basketball drill were running through his head, this would be the first game without nick, and though nick was an absolute dick he was a good player and the team had never played without him
taylor did the bests could, she would say when he entered the rom that she was sure they would win. he would smile at her attempt to cheer him up but no matter how hard she tried dares mind would not stray from his nerves.
but thalia had bad news,
"I'm sorry derek but laura is sick we need taylor to patrol while your at your game" thalia understood how this would effect derek but she needed the house protected.
he didn't argue he knew he wouldn't win and he coundnt stand something happening and finding out that it could have been prevented if thalia had another set of claws.
he set out for game a half five, taylor waited for him at the door,"i know i won't be their but every time you go to score think of how happy ill be when you come home and tell me you won"
he leaned down and gave her a hug"i'll try" he kissed her forehead and went out the door
"good luck" she whispered, derek didn't turn be she could tell by the way he waked more confidently that he had heard her.
she watched his retreating figure till he disappeared.
"taylor" thalia said as she walked out of the kitchen." i need you to watch over the house while i watch the edge of the forest and peter watched the school."
taylor nodded, she slipped on her jacket and walked outside.

derek opened the school doors and walked inside, he was annoyed that taylor couldn't come to watch him he needs her support.
he entered the changing rooms and dressed into his gear. he was number four as always. nick had been replaced by a tall boy he wasn't as good as nick but his height was an advantage.
the stands were filled with people from both schools, derek began to search for taylor then realised that she wasn't there.
the game started the beacon his was losing derek wasn't on form he needed taylor, his thoughts immediately went to her and how disappointed she'd be if they lost.
he tried harder for her, he tried so hard that when he got the ball ,he easily swept past the opposing teams players and scored. his team celebrated and enjoyed the euphoria of the scene.
derek scored multiple times, beacon hills was now winning and with a minute left to go their were sure to win.
when the final buzzer went off derek celebrated with the team half heartedly, he wished taylor had been their to see them win he imagine her face when she heard the news that they had won and smiled.
derek looked to the crowd on the beacon hills side, he noticed that chris was sitting on one of the lowest steps of the stand kate was no where to be seen, this frightened derek more then then he wanted.
noah had invited derek to and after party but he declined wanting to get home to taylor as quickly as he could he had never seen the twins apart.
he left the gym and had tried to find peter but his uncle was no where in sight, that was odd as he was supposed to be watching the school. if he wasn't there it meant something happened. derek sprinted.

taylor stood watch for an hour and thank god nothing had happened.
she did her nintyrh perimetre of the house when she noticed a flash of blond hair. she immediately ran for it and saw kate her hair was tied back and she held some equipment in her hand.
kate noticed taylor approaching and quickly turned on one of the devices she held. it gave out a frequency that caused werewolves to scream in pain. taylor who had never experienced this effect before screamed the pain unbar able.
this gave kate the chance to set the house afire and quickly run away.
the fie spread fast and soon the whole hale house was ablaze their were screams coming from the inside, laura and cora were inside but managed to escape, peter two but he was badly burned.
derek arrived home and gasped when he saw the fire. he ran towards it but laura held him back." derek don't" she said.
"but taylor, she's in there" he screamed as he struggled to get free of his sisters grip.
"we can't help her now I'm sorry derek" she had tears in her eyes taylor was like a sister to her but she couldn't loose two people.
"what about mom" he said laura shook her head again, derek dropped to the forest floor both his mom and his girlfriend were dead, he lost paige and now he had lost taylor.

taylor screams had stopped be she remains on the floor she couldnt move her muscles were to stiff and sore.
she tried to scream out but her body wouldn't let her,
she could here derek scream her name but she couldn't reply to tell him that she was okay.
it was an hour after that they taylor finally regained movement in her body. she rose to her feet and tried to find derek but he had gone the whole hale family had gone, they had thought she was dead and left no doubt away from beacon hills to some where safe where they wouldn't be hunted.
she returned to the only place she had left, back to her dads, he was flat out when she returned so she was sae for tonight she new shed get a beating when he woke in the morning and saw her but she would just ahem to endure it.
she climbed into there bed placed the cover over her head and cried, the argents had stuck to their word they had ruined her life they had taken the only thing she had ever loved, her family and her boyfriend.
