They talked about what she'd found out during the day as they ate dinner together. Can was very happy that they were getting closer to finding out what happened to him. He was happy now that Sanem trusted him and his own trust that he was innocent grew.

'I understand everything about the stolen tablet now but we still have so much to figure out about the murder. I understand their motive to frame you for the murder but something doesn't add up. If they intended to kill, they could've just killed you from the start. It must've been an accident. Maybe they came to your place expecting to find you alone but Baris was there and they got into a scuffle. The killer shoots him accidentally and hits you on the head.'

'I wish I could remember something it would make this whole thing a lot easier' he complained as he put the dishes away.

'Don't worry Can, it'll be fine. I know I'm so close to see the end of this thing. Just trust me.' She said without wavering.

'I'm so lucky to have you. You're so strong and yet compassionate.... so sexy and ... so adorable. I know how we met was through something terrible but I'm so happy we did. You're the best miracle that's ever happened to me.' Her eyes glistened with tears. She jumped off her stool and walked around behind the counter to throw her arms around him in a tight hug.

'I'm happy I met you too' she murmured against his chest.

...

Sanem put on a black knee length dress and put on light make up. The department had been invited to a benefit in their honor by the mayor's office. The Captain had informed them earlier in the day that they'd all have to attend. Sanem hated these functions but she had no choice. But she thought it would be a good opportunity to talk to Sarp. She had some questions she needed him to answer.

She looked at herself in the mirror one last time before she left for the night. Thoughts of Can never left her mind. She didn't completely understand her feelings for him but she knew she would've preferred to spend the evening with him instead. She reminded herself that she was doing this for him. The sooner the real killer was found the sooner he could be free to be with her.

She arrived at the hall where the benefit was being held early. People were slowly trickling in but only a few people were inside having a drink. Fortunately, she spotted Deren in the far corner drinking champagne by herself.

'Hey you!'

'Sanem?' She said enthusiastically and gave her a hug.

'Thank God you're here. I thought they said this thing starts at eight? I was worried no one was going to show up, what is that?' She said distractedly pointing at her neck.

'What?' Sanem asked back confused.

'That' She touched the base of her neck where it was bruised. Sanem quickly realized what she was talking about and brought a chunk of her hair forward to try and cover it. She blushed thinking about how Can had marked her the night before when he buried himself in her neck.

'It's nothing' Deren quickly realized what it was and smiled at her.

'Good evening ladies!' Sarp and Bulut interrupted their conversation. The sound of Sarp's voice brought Sanem back to reality. She wasn't sure if it was because things had been awkward between them or because of her growing suspicions but his presence was becoming uncomfortable. She noticed Bulut was quiet but watched Deren so intently that she knew they must've been communicated. He clung to her side without saying a word. She felt like she was intruding on their private moment so she decided it was the perfect time to talk to Sarp.

'Can we talk?' She turned to Sarp and asked. His face lit up when he realized she was talking to him.

'Of course...' He motioned to walk further away from them.
