<<<CASEY>>>

I had no idea where Miles was taking me, and the entire car ride my leg wouldn't stop bouncing. Miles had a song playing with his phone hooked up to the car and when I asked, he told me it was My Blood by Twenty One Pilots

Miles bowed slightly with a grin as he held the door for me, and I blushed furiously. When I noticed that there were two sets of doors, I took the chance to hold the door for him with way more dramatic flair than was necessary. As I did, I noticed the small smile he had on his face, and that only made me smile wider.

We had to wait a little bit, but we eventually got seated and started talking. I had never been to this restaurant so I was more distracted than he was, trying to figure out what to eat. Eventually I settled on the spaghetti.

At first, as we waited, it was kind of awkward. I'd never gone on a date before. What are you supposed to talk about? Are you supposed to act a certain way? Miles ended up starting the conversation, and I noticed he seemed more flirty than usual, and i ended up being red almost the whole time.

I was whining about some of my teachers when the waitress came back, and she smiled at us as she set down our drinks. "Are you guys ready to order or do you need more time?" she asked us with an overly cheerful smile.

I looked to miles and he shook his head, so I turned back to her and said, "were ready to order. I'll have the spaghetti please."

She nodded, writing it down and turned to miles. He ordered the burger. "Alright! Your food will be ready soon. I hope you enjoy your date!"

I had been taking a drink of my iced tea when she said that, and nearly choked. I coughed a couple times, and Miles laughed at me, so I kicked him under the table. I glared at him, my cheeks glowing for what felt like the hundredth time that day already.

We joked around and as time went on, we got more comfortable with each other and this 'date' thing. And I flirted back to him. Badly.

That night, I didn't get a minute of sleep. I replayed it all in my mind, to the point where I had probably unintentionally altered the memory.

I was smiling so much that almost everyone I knew asked me what happened.
