Phil followed the boy to a small office, where he was offered a chair. The boy sat opposite him, waiting for him to sit. Phil did so, and figured he might as well get comfortable. He didn't know how long he would be there. As soon as he stopped shifting in his chair, Dan spoke up.

"Would it be alright if I could see some identification? Maybe your ID card?"

Phil pulled his card out of his pocket and gave it to the boy with a glare. While the boy inspected his ID, Phil busied himself with looking around the desk. It was messy, piled with papers, but it was almost endearing. Phil's eyes fell on a nameplate. He leaned forward just a little bit, intent on finding this boy's name.

Daniel. Daniel Howell. What a perfect name for a perfect boy. Phil shook his head. No. He couldn't be having these thoughts. He could not be having these thoughts.

They sat in silence for several minutes before Daniel spoke, snapping Phil out of his reverie.

"Okay, so basically I've erased all suspicion off your papers. Just stay out of trouble and you'll be fine. Alright?"

Phil nodded. "Okay. That's it?"

Daniel smiled. "I think so, Philip"

Phil internally cringed at the use of his full name, but smiled back regardless. He needed to get out of there, ASAP. He stood to go, but in his eagerness to leave, he knocked the chair over. He bent to pick it up as Daniel stood up, smirking slightly.

"Why in such a rush, Philip?" Dan teased. Phil quietly groaned. No, no, no! He could not think an SS officer was hot! He had to leave.

Phil hesitated before answering. "I don't know. It feels weird here."

Phil felt bad about lying, but he couldn't exactly tell the truth in this situation. Oh, you're just unbearably attractive and I need to leave so I don't get arrested.

Daniel frowned a little bit. "I can walk you out if you feel uncomfortable. I don't want you to run into another officer."

Phil mentally facepalmed. "Oh, no, it's fine, I can-"

Daniel seemed to waste no time in rushing to the door to hold it open for Phil. "I don't mind, I'm not doing much today anyway."

Phil sighed, but realized he didn't really have a choice. He mumbled out a half-hearted thanks, and walked out with a beaming Daniel on his heels.

Dan tried to look busy for as long as he could, but he could feel Philip becoming impatient. The silence was becoming uncomfortable, and Philip had started fidgeting. Dan needed to stop this. It wasn't as if anything could happen anyway, now that gays were being targeted.

Dan cleared his throat quietly to get Philip's attention. Immediately, the boy straightened up.

Dan explained what he had 'done,' and asked if it was okay.

Philip eagerly agreed, bobbing his head up and down. Dan was disappointed at how excited he was to leave. Nevertheless, he forced those feelings down and smiled.

Philip grinned at him. Dan was torn between bursting into song or bursting into tears. Philip was so handsome, and now he was leaving. Dan had no idea if they would meet again.

Philip stood to go, but he bumped into his seat, making it tip over. Dan smiled. He was so adorable! Philip turned around to right the chair, and Dan's smile turned into a smirk. That is an extremely fit man.

"Why in such a rush, Philip?" Dan decided to say, determined to keep Philip as long as possible. The boy spun around, cheeks red. He sputtered before mumbling a coherent answer.

"I don't know. It feels weird here." Dan aww'd inside. But he realized that Philip had a valid excuse for not wanting to be here, considering he was just pummeled by other officers.

His lips turned down a little. "I can walk you out if you feel uncomfortable. I don't want you to run into another officer." Dan crossed his fingers that Philip would agree to his invitation.

"Oh, no, it's fine, I can-" Philip started to stutter.

Dan just melted. Aw, he doesn't want to impose on me! How polite and sweet. He smiled. "I don't mind, I'm not doing much today anyway."

Philip's face flushed, and he murmered a quiet "thank you." Dan just grinned a big, happy grin, and bounded towards the door to open it. Philip walked through it, and Dan followed at his side.

They walked quietly for a while, but Dan was itching to break the ice with Philip.

"So... Philip..." he awkwardly started.

The black-haired boy turned to look at him, raising an eyebrow.

Dan rushed to find something to say. "What's your job?"

Philip's forehead creased. "Didn't you see that in my papers?"

Dan hesitated before lying, "It seemed interesting, I wanted to hear about it."

Philip looked bewildered, but he smiled. "Um, being a student isn't that interesting, actually. Just a lot of work."

Scheiße! Dan had messed up. "Oh, uh, I was actually more interested in what you were studying."

Philip smirked. "Hmm... right. Well, I guess if you have nothing to do today, and since you're already a couple blocks from the ghetto, I'll tell you."

Dan's head snapped up. What? He looked at his surroundings. He was in a totally unknown area. He looked back to Philip.

"Uh, yeah, of course. But I might need your help getting back." Dan smiled shyly, hoping he didn't seem scared or desperate, despite the fact that he was terrified of being lost.

Philip seemed to catch onto the underlying message that Dan was trying not to send. "I can give you directions."

"Alright," said Dan. Phil smiled. And then Dan remembered what they had been talking about.

"Wait," he exclaimed. "You have to tell me about your studies first."

Philip smiled again, making Dan feel very successful. "What about we make a deal? I ask a question first, you answer honestly, and then I'll tell you wantever you want to know."

Dan jumped at the idea. "Yes! I mean, yeah, sure."

Hey guys!! I'm back:) I had a lot of testing recently so I wasn't able to upload. But it's mostly over, so I'll be working on the story more.

Also, scheiße is a bad word, in case you couldn't figure that out:0

Sorry if their characteristics sort of changed a lot, I tried to not let my inner fangirl affect it lmao
