Olivia's eyes shot open at the sound of her alarm. Usually she let everyone sleep in on Saturdays but today Spencer wanted to do a family fun day. With her still recovering, he wanted to spend time together with their children. It had been awhile since they had relaxed together. Thinking of things to do with three children was a challenge, especially when they all liked different things. One thing they had in common was their love for animals.

Olivia got them tickets to a petting zoo about two hours away from their home. It would be a full day of adventures with just Spencer and the kids. The zoo was fairly large, one part a drive-thru zoo and the other part a petting zoo for smaller children. There were also food trucks and other treats available on the land.

The kids began getting restless and finally fell asleep on their drive, giving Spencer and Olivia time to talk.

"I'm proud of you, baby." he said, reaching over to squeeze his wife's thigh.

"You say that all the time." she blushed. Even though he had been saying it more often, it still felt good to hear them. It had been a rocky time for her and things were finally starting to feel normal again.

"Because I mean it. I don't know if I would have been able to fight like you have. Every thing thrown your way and you're still standing strong. Even if you don't feel like it." he added, bringing her hand to his lips. "Me and the kids appreciate you so much and I'm glad you're still here."

Olivia smiled as she stared out the passenger window, "I'm glad I'm still here too."

Two hours later, they were finally pulling up to the zoo. Spencer found a parking spot towards the back of the vast parking lot. He helped get the strollers out of the car and put the twins in their stroller first before grabbing Kiara.

"Animals!" Kiara screamed as her father pushed her towards the zoo entrance. They'd do the petting zoo first before ending their day with the drive-thru attraction. The sun beat down on them as they walked through the crowded parking lot. The twins were still sleeping until they reached the front of the line. "Babies, you ready to see the animals?!" Olivia asked, getting down to their eye level. Charlotte and Jackson smiled and babbled in approval while Kiara yelled a confident, "Yay! Tiger!" Spencer chuckled to himself, "I don't think you'll be seeing and petting a tiger, baby girl."

Olivia nudges him. "Let her think she's going to pet a tiger. Isn't they right, Kiki," Olivia asked, earning a grin from her eldest daughter. "Let's get going."

Spencer and Olivia pushed their children to the first fence where baby goats were running around. One of the zoo keepers opened the gate to let them inside. They let Kiara out of the stroller and kept the twins on the perimeter as baby goats began to surround them.

"Ah! Ah! Ah!" Charlotte wasn't too much of a fan as she was already crying, feeling scared. Olivia had to end up taking her out of the stroller so she could soothe her.

"Aw, It's okay Char, it won't hurt you," the mother cooed, bouncing Charlotte in her arms. "See, look!" Spencer bends forward to pet the goat as Jackson reached over to copy his father's movements.

"I want it..." Kiara smiled, hoping her parents picked up one of the baby goats and put it in the car with them. "Maybe if we get a farm. You can't have these in the house, baby girl," Spencer answered, picking Kiara up and resting her on his hip. Kiara pouts, catching her father's eye. "Hey, don't be like that. We'll get one soon ok?" He gives her a cheek kiss. Kiara nods, eventually smiling.

Their next adventure was visiting the rabbit home where they let the kids hold them. Charlotte seemed to be more comfortable with the rabbits once the zoo keeper brought one over for her to pet. She shouted with glee as she felt the thick fur under her fingers.
