The monitors were beeping as Olivia awaken to the bright hospital lights on her face. She groans in pain as she feels a huge migraine from her head. She adjusts her eyes before looking around, feeling a bed, seeing iv fluids and eventually seeing a surprise she honestly didn't see coming.

Spencer.

Olivia looks at him in disbelief, tears already starting to well up. She felt a lot of things. Confused. Sad. But also... happy. She's actually happy to see him. After so long, seeing her one true love face to face felt like a sigh of relief.

"Spencer...." Olivia asks tearfully. Spencer gives her a tearful smile, coming close to her, holding her hand and caressing her hair.

"Yeah, it's me baby. I'm here..."

"But how... why..."

"Let's not worry about that now. Get you some rest. I'll be right here. I'm not leaving. No time soon." Olivia nods smiling before falling asleep. After a few minutes, Spencer lets go of Olivia and walks outside to meet with the family.

The family notices his sad expression.

"She's going to be ok. But um.. I just..."

"You can't what baby?" Grace asks. Spencer sighs sadly.

"I can't see her like this. I mean, Olivia, my wife, almost committed suicide for god sake! Do you know how scary it is? I could've lost her!"

"I know. But that is your wife. I know you went through a lot. We all did. But she has went through a lot as well. You need to be there for her regardless of what happened. I'm not trying to validate your feelings because you have every right to be upset but come on, at least give Olivia a break. Let her breathe and heal for a few weeks. And then when you're ready, you and her can have a talk. A real talk. The conversations with us can be later but right now, she needs you. And you need her."

Spencer cries, stressed on how to feel about what his mother just said. He wants to be angry at Liv for even thinking about suicide, but in the end, he is just sad. He feels so bad for everything that his wife have been through. He feels sorry for putting her through so much.

He sobs onto the family's arms. "I don't know what to do..."

"Give her time. Take care of her. And most importantly, love her."

Spencer nods at his mother's words.

A few weeks later...

Olivia finishes her day from work early, arriving home to an empty house. No children walking around getting into things, no husband watching her movement from across the room. Her mental state had been very dark for weeks now as a result from the aftermath and blow up of the security of her family that once was. She had ruined everything in such a short period of time, again, and she hated herself for it. If she didn't love Spencer and the family they worked so hard to build together as much as she did, she wouldn't ended it all by now. One sliver to her wrist hitting the right vein was all it would take, but she was stronger than that and no matter how ashamed and angry she felt with herself, she couldn't give up, she had to fight.

If not for herself, then definitely for the children who depends on her to make it at every turn. Kicking her shoes to the ground, she ran her fingers through her hair trying to be patient with herself. She thought to herself about maybe whipping out a meal but she was too upset to function, let alone pick herself up enough to cook. Plus, it didn't matter whether or not she did, she hadn't bothered to eat much of anything lately.

Looking around, tears started to blur her vision at the emptiness of it all, saddening her even more. She wiped her face a little as she dropped her keys on the mantle by the door, her eyes turning to a family photo that was sitting in the center of the display. Her hands trembled as she slowly picked up the framed photo, admiring it, running her fingertips across before setting it back down. A crack of a smile fell down as she turned her attention to the first photo of her and Spencer, back when they first got married. Tears built up even more witnessing the way he was looking down at her in that picture. Her face fell when she came to the realization, he hadn't looked at her in that way in a really long time, but she couldn't even blame him because it was her fault.
