Viola was smiling, noises filled with cuteness as she was playing with Stacy in their crappy but stable kitchen. While Nate was cooking breakfast, the laughs and overall cuteness heard from his girls made him blush and smile. He knew that he was glad to have them in their lives. But it makes it even more sad by the way the living situation is. He honestly wished a miracle came and that they were able to live in a nice house. 

It was a nice and calm morning with Stacy smiling the most towards her daughter. It was a half day at the center so she wasn't going to have a long shift, giving her more time to spend with Viola. She had dreamed of this moment for a very long time. Finally, after so long, she felt like a happy moment was coming towards her. It was so close, but then so far. As soon as they finished breakfast, Stacy was holding Viola, talking to her before she left for work. 

"Ok, Vi, mommy is going to work for a little bit today..." Viola's tiny cries makes her reaction to her mother leaving perfectly clear. Stacy sighs, already feeling bad. But her mood switches as she knew that she was coming home early. She bounces the whiny daughter up and down to try to make her stop crying. 

"Hey, don't be like that. I'm coming back real soon ok?" She stops bouncing as she looks into her daughter's tearful eyes. Stacy cutely pouts, reassuring her. "Ok?" The instant smile and cute noise that came out of the child made Stacy smile and blush even more. She truly loved her baby girl. The alarm buzzes off her phone as it was time to leave. She looks towards Nate, who was still finishing his food, amusing Stacy. 

"Haha babe, you're acting like you haven't ate in days!" Nate glances at her, stuffing bacon in his cheeks. "It's because I haven't. Work has been hectic these past few days..." Stacy sighs, getting slightly annoyed. She knew he didn't have to work that many hours, but he does it on purpose so that they can keep afloat. 

"Well, it wouldn't have to be this way if you would've just taken one day off..." 

"Well, you know I can't do that babe. I have to help us." 

"Yeah but is working yourself to the bone really worth it?! You're not even making enough money at that job anyway! I don't want us to struggle so much to the point where you're starving yourself!" 

"Well, what do you want me to do Stacy?! I can't quit because it would be hard for me to even apply for another job! I'm not making enough money?! I know but hey, what can we do?! Money is money and what we get is what we get!" At this point, Stacy's anger grew more and more as she was tired of how they're living currently. She wanted a change. 

"Jesus Nate! Do you not see where we are?! We can't keep living like this! What about Viola?! Nate, getting upset, drops his fork, taking a hard glance at his wife. 

"There's nothing else to do baby! Right now, there's nothing we can do! Me and you have been working at crappy jobs for months now trying to keep up with rent! Trying to buy food, trying to... take care of our baby girl..." Both of them look at Viola, who is calm sucking her fingers. 

"Trust me, I don't want to live like this either but as far as I can see, we don't have a lot of money right now. Any day now, the landlord could knock on the door and slip in the eviction notice and god knows we don't want that. Us and our baby girl are not going to be homeless. And I'm going to make sure of it." He walks forward, holding her hand. 

"We'll make sure of it, ok?" He calms down, with Stacy responding with a nod, calming down as well. 

"Well... um, I'm going to work. You said the nanny was coming right?" 

"Yeah. She should be here any minute now--" Just then, the doorbell rings. Nate walks to it, opening it. But once he opens it, it's the person him and Stacy least expected. A middle aged man with a paper in his hand looked into the couple's eyes, filled with fear. They prayed that this day didn't come.
