2 months later...
Spencer has fully recovered from being shot in the stomach. During his recovery, the family has been helping him do house activities since he couldn't work at his company. His employees took care of his business when he was gone.
Grace has been helping out with her son more than his own wife. Well, not exactly. Olivia has been helping him out but they don't talk to each other. Spencer was still upset with Olivia after what happened.
To be clear, he has regret of what he said to her at the hospital. He doesn't fully blame her but she is partly to blame. He knew that Calvin was the sole reason since one of his goons was the one that shot him. He just never told Liv. He needed time to heal before he was able to talk to her again. Olivia understood.
She knew he had the right to be upset. She should have told Spencer about Calvin from the jump. But she didn't and now she has to face the consequences.
______________________________It was Spencer's last free day before he was officially going back to work and he decided to relax, as usual. He didn't want to do a lot since he was used to people helping him on foot. But Olivia had something planned. She was going to plan a special dinner, just for the two of them. She booked a reservation at a fancy restaurant. She thought that this would be the perfect time to finally talk and work things out so that they plan on taking Calvin down for good.
It was the morning and Spencer wakes up to see a full kitchen counter worth of breakfast food options. He then sees a very excited Olivia, wearing morning pajamas and a bun on her head. Spencer wasn't going to lie and say that Olivia didn't look adorable. Her dancing around with her headphones on was amusing and cute at the same time. Spencer looks at her smiling, without her noticing. He's honestly missed having to smile at his wife but he still was hesitant to talk to her so he needed to be calm.
After a few seconds, Olivia turns around to see Spencer sitting at the counter, staring at her in disbelief. Mind you, he's not smiling. He is just giving a face. Liv takes off her headphones, slightly embarrassed.
"Oh, hey Spencer... I didn't see you there. Um... I made breakfast for you. All of your favorites..." Olivia saids awkwardly. Spencer looks around, obviously knowing. "I see." He replies. Olivia looks down a bit before leaving, knowing this was going to be more awkward than "Well um.. I'm just going to take a plate and go into the room. I'll give you space..."
Before she leaves, Spencer grabs her hand, stopping her.
"We need to talk." Olivia looks at him, nodding, knowing that a conversation was long overdue. She sits across from him, silence growing every second that goes by. That's not until Spencer speaks up.
"Listen... I'm sorry."
"Part of me blamed you for Calvin when really, it should be himself. I just felt so hurt that I let my anger out on you and for that I am sorry. I said some hurtful things to you at the hospital, making you feel worse and for that, I am also very sorry."
Olivia sighs, feeling bad that he had to apologize.
"No, I'm the one that is truly sorry. I didn't tell you about Calvin when I should have said something from the very beginning. I had so much fear pent up in me that I wasn't even thinking."
"Why do you have so much fear in your body every time you see him?"
"It's because he was abusive. But it only happened for a little bit before he stopped and started verbally abusing me. The day of those interviews, when he showed up and he was being charming to me, knowing what he did, memories of sadness, anger and being broken came back in my head. And I didn't want to tell you. I was scared. I didn't want him to affect us and our kids. I wanted you guys to be safe so that if he met y'all, then he wouldn't be a problem."
