It was a bright and sunny morning and Stacy was awaken to a nice and delicious smell in her sister's kitchen. She goes downstairs to see Nate cooking with several breakfast dishes already out on the counter.
"Morning sunshine! How is my favorite wife in the whole world?" Nate asks as he strides forward towards Stacy, giving her a sweet but exciting kiss. Stacy chuckles cutely as she knew something was up with him. He's usually in this kind of a good mood when he's been given an opportunity.
"Ok babe? What's up? I know when you're in this good mood. And it's rare this happens."
"Well, I recently applied for a job at a restaurant downtown and I got the interview! So, your man will hopefully become a chef and a baker in the culinary arts!" He exclaims with a smooth tone. Stacy gasps in excitement as she is happy for him.
Nate's been into the baking scene for quite a while and he has been dreaming of having his own bakery. He's been applying for culinary jobs ever since they have been struggling financially but after multiple tries, not one interview came up. Until now. I guess you can say, a miracle came upon him.
"Oh my god! Baby! I'm so happy for you! I'm so proud!" Stacy saids, giving him a hug and a kiss.
"Thank you! I mean... this is it! We're taking baby steps! We're getting our dream jobs, and soon enough, we'll have money in our accounts, and then... we can afford a house and finally provide for our baby girl!" Nate chuckles in excitement as Stacy shows a worried look. She realized that she still didn't tell him about the $30,000 Liv gave to her.
In that moment, she didn't want to ruin his mood so she decides not to say anything about it until she was ready. Nate notices her face. "Baby? Aren't you excited?! Why aren't you smiling? Is everything ok?" Stacy stutters, having a hard time answering.
"Uh... um... yeah. Everything's fine. It's just... what if you don't get it? Then we'll have to go back to square one again. I don't want us to struggle anymore babe. I want us to be ok. As a family." She tears up, not wanting to go back into their old poor ways. Nate caresses her cheek, signifying comfort.
"Everything will be alright. You just have to have faith. We will have the life that we want. I promise. Ok?"
"Yeah. Ok." Stacy takes a calm deep breath, nodding in the process. Just then, Nate's phone rings. He answers immediately.
"Hello? Yes, this is he. Um... right now?! Uh yes of course. I'll be right over. Thank you so much ma'am! Bye!" He hangs up, excitement creeping up on his face. Stacy shrugs in anticipation, awaiting his words.
"Well?" She asks.
"I'm on my way to the interview now!" They hug in excitement.
"Congratulations! You're going to do amazing! Just keep your head up and make sure to answer appropriately, but more importantly, be yourself because that's what me and Viola love about you." Nate smiles in awe as he gives her a kiss, feeling appreciated.
"Thank you babe. I love you both. Wish me luck!"
"I always do." Stacy saids before Nate walks out the door. She sighs, feeling bad, which Denise took notice as she appears in the kitchen with Viola. Viola coos, looking at her mother.
"Good morning baby! Guess what? Daddy might have a job today!" Viola smiles, cooing again. The sisters chuckle in awe.
"Yeah! Dada is at an interview so let's pray for the best V!" She sits down, laying Viola on her chair before Denise joins them.
