This is in no ones POV

--
It had been 3 weeks since the accident.

On Christmas day, while everyone was off celebrating, the Way family stayed home and sat silently in the living room of Gerard and M's small house.

Their parents had come home within a day of hearing the news, but they have gone back to work now.

No one really knew what to do, Christmas didn't feel right, because it was Mikey's favourite time of year and his presents are still left under the tree.

Mr and Mrs Way had been organising funeral arrangements but Violet and Gerard were still horrible messes.

They couldn't comprehend their little brother was dead.

The funeral was the worst. Everyone was crying and miserable. The worst bit was that no one wanted to say goodbye to Mikey, everyone wanted him back.

Violet was not talking or eating. All she did was sleep and cry.

Frank tried almost everything to make her feel better, but what he was doing seemed useless.

Although Violet felt like shit, she did enjoy the cuddling and extra kisses from Frank.

He was her rock, she would have gone crazy without him, he even wrote her a song.

It was cute and it made her feel a little better.

She really wanted to show him how appreciative she was of him but all she could ever think about was Mikey.

Mikey was gone.

She felt like fucking shit, and she was blaming herself.

Because don't you remember, she was the one who persuaded Gerard to let Mikey go.

If she had of just kept her mouth shut, Mikey would still be here.

The guilt and regret was over filling her emotional tank.

But she wasn't the only one who felt like this, Gerard too.

He wasn't reacting the same as Violet, he took it differently, not worse, just differently.

He took to alcohol, and was trying to source drugs before M caught him and stopped him.

He was going downhill.

Such a shame when he had his own wedding to plan with his fiancé.

But M, didn't know how to deal with this new Gerard.

He was more demanding and forceful.

He demanded sex almost every night, and the sweet, romantic affairs that used to occur when they made love, were all gone.

He was rough, angry, just horrible.

He yelled more, he had broken a few vases and various objects around the house when he was mad, which was almost all the time.

M was starting to feel ill in the mornings, starting a few days ago.

The only logical explanation would be that she was pregnant because, she was having unprotected sex, and she doesn't ever vomit unless she's dying.

So she took a pregnancy test, and it was positive.

She was thrilled, but she doesn't know how to tell Gerard, what if he's mad?

No, he wouldn't get mad, it's his baby.

M went down stairs one evening to find Gerard starting a new can of beer, today he was taking it easy on the alcohol, as he had a massive headache.

"Hey Gee, honey I have some news" she says, as she timidly sits beside him.

"What is it" he snaps, he didn't like being interrupted when he was wallowing in sadness.

"Well, I have been feeling ill for a little while so i went and bought a test" she says, pausing to see his reaction.

He didn't do anything.

"Go on" he says after a few seconds.

"Well, it was a pregnancy test, Gee" she paused again and waited.

"Oh" he says "what did it say?"

"Well it said that you're going to be a dad" she says biting her lip to stop her from grinning so much.

He turned to her, his eyes were wide and he was astounded.

He started to grin, for the first time is so long.

"I'm going to be a dad?" He asks as he takes her hand.

"Yeah, yes" She confirms, nodding her head.

He jumps up from his chair and picks her up and spins her around happily.

"I'M GOING TO BE A DAD!" He shouts laughing with M.

An for once in a little while, he felt whole again.
