Chapter 27

Violet's POV

"Where the fuck are we?" I ask as we drive into a small town near the beach.

"I don't even know, but it looks good" Frank says as he turns the corner to a fancy looking motel.

I give Frank a questionable look when he stops the car and he just smiles in response.

"What are you waiting for, come on" he says getting out of the car and I follow him.

He takes my hand and and we walk through the large doors.

We are greeted by a ocean themed lobby with spectacular white tiles and high ceilings.

"Wowie" I mumble and Frank leads me towards the reception desk.

"Welcome to the sandy bay resort, how can I be of assistance?" A young women greets us with a great amount of enthusiasm.

"Uh hey, can we have a big room for the two of us" Frank asks as I scope the room.

The room is pretty full of people I guess, not many kids. Lots of couples.

"Come on babe, let's get our bags and they'll have a room for us" Frank says kissing my cheek.

The room is amazing.

It's been a couple hours since we arrived and we have been sharing some wine on the deck, watching the beach and talking about everything.

I really fucking love him, like, I don't even know how to express how much love I have for him.

"Do you want to go down the beach later?" Frank asks, looking over to me, his eyes sparkling.

"Yeah, we could watch the sunset" I say before leaning over and kissing him lightly.

"I love you" I say.

"I love you too" he replies before kissing me again.

"Let's get in the spa bath" I excitedly bounce up from my chair and run inside and turn on the spa bath, adding lots of bubbles and making sure it's the perfect temperature before stripping down and getting in.

"Frank! Get your flat ass in here now" I shout and hide behind a mountain of bubbles, completely hiding myself, I can kinda see though.

Frank wanders into the bathroom and looks at the bath.

"Where the hell is she now?" He mumbles to himself before taking off his clothes.

He slowly gets in the bath, sighing as he does so.

I steadily move around the tub, trying to stir it too much until I'm right in front of him, ready to pounce.

"I can see you, idiot" he laughs and I frown.

He moves the bubbles out of the way and I sit in front of him.

"I was thinking" he starts before moving a stand of hair out of my face.

"That's dangerous" I joke and laugh.

"Well, I was thinking about how much I really want chocolate." He says changing the serious tone in his voice.

"I do too actually" I agree.

"You're cute" he says doing a little blushy smiley face. (😊)

"So are you" I reply and he leans forward and kisses me.

It was about 8pm and we were at the beach.

We had watched the sunset and then Frank surprised me with a cute dinner at this little place on the beach.

It was only the two of us and everything just felt so right.

"Do you want to dance?" Frank asks as Ed Sheeran's new song begins to play, I think it's called thinking out loud.

"Sure" I say and he takes my hand and holds me very close as we rock side to side to the song.

"You know I love you right?" he whispers in my ear.

"I know. I love you too" I respond and close my eyes .

"And I would never leave you, I trust you and I promise I wont hurt you ever" he says, his voice slightly shaky, like he is nervous.

"Same to you, Frank" I mumble, feeling so loved and relaxed.

He pulls away and I open my eyes to look at him, he is getting down on one knee, huh?

"Violet, I think you know what I'm going to ask" he says getting a small box from his pocket and opening it, revealing a sparkling white diamond ring.

I think my heart is about to explode, I feel so overwhelmed with feelings, I cant even function.

"Violet Way, will you marry me" He asks, his eyes wide and they're absolutely melting me to pieces.

I get down on my knees too and lean in to kiss him, closing my eyes.

I keep moving forward, waiting for our lips to connect but they don't.

I open my eyes, immediately regretting it.

I wake up in my room at home alone, my alarm clock buzzing, making me wake up for work.

"It was all just a dream" I mumble through sobs.
