"Quirkless"

Once that simple, but yet so powerful, 9 letter word was spoken Izuku's life would never be the same, and even after coming home from that office the magnitude of what had just occurred still hadn't hit the young, innocent, pure child.

"What do you mean he's Quirkless??" Toshinori asked.

"It means exactly what it means Toshi" Inko answered, looking down at the terrified little boy.

"You've got to be kidding me! Are you serious!"

"No the little things actually quirkless, I saw the X-ray myself"

"Mom-Mommy?" Izuku trembled

"What."

"Wh-at exact-ly is goin-g on?"

"You're worthless, that's what's going on" Toshinori answered with a rage that was most certainly unfit for a child.

"Just go to your room Izuku" Inko sighed.

"O-h o-k mommy"

Little did poor Izuku know that this would be the first of many times to come where he would find himself alone in his room.

All Izuku could do was sit on the floor in the corner, he didn't know what was going on, he did of course know what Quirkless meant, everyone knew. But as a 4 year old kid how could he explain to himself the sudden change in his parents behavior. He couldn't.

So he just sat on the floor wrapped up in his All Might hoodie, calling out for his mother.

"M-om"

"Momm-y?"

"MOM"

"pl-ease"

"p-leea-se"

"someone"

However, the Yagi family couldn't hear, nor cared about the boys cries, as they were to busy celebrating with little Izumi, who was the most oblivious of them all.

After that day, Izuku lived a life alone, supporting himself, which was incredibly difficult as a four year old boy.

His parents wouldn't allow him to speak, nor was he allowed to do anything with the family, and he could only eat the table scraps left behind by Izumi. However, he still went to school, and he was incredibly gifted and leaps ahead of his sister, but that couldn't stop the beatings he endured from people he thought were his friends.

Bakugo was the worst.

"You don't have a quirk?"

"Yea Kacchan, I-I didn't get one"

"Then you're weak Izuku"

"W-hat"

"You promised me we'd be heroes together DEKU"

"But you're so worthless now"

"UGh just go away"

Tick

"B-ut But Kacchan" Izuku cried after his best friend, who had run off to play with his younger sister, but the boy didn't even glance back at his former friend.

He truly was left alone, and it would only get so much worse.

It was around a year later when it was time for Izumi to go in for her official quirk check, and this time it was Izuku who had to tag along, although he was told to keep his head down, and to not say a word.

As it would be an understatement to say that Izuku looked a little roughed up.

The appointment went smoothly, as nothing had really changed with Izumi's quirk, which the young girl was slightly disappointed about. But the real disappointment with this appointment would fall into Izuku's hands, although he would be unaware of it for years to come.

Inko was just finishing up some paperwork at the front desk, when the doctor came out and gave both Izuku and Izumi an All-might sticker, which revived the joyful smile Izuku once had for a couple seconds.

He then came up and asked Inko for a moment alone in his office.

"Listen I have some concerns"

"About what?"

"Don't give me that, you know what. Izuku. He looks horrible"

"What do you mean? He looks fine."

"What exactly are you doing to that child?"

"What exactly are you implying, doctor?"

"He looks like he's in pain, malnourished, and he's covered in burns!"

"Are you neglecting Or OR even abusing a 5 year old CHILD!?"

"Because if you are I won't hesitat-"

"600"

"W-hat?"

"600 and you'll keep quiet"

"Uh n-"

"Take it or I'll get your license revoked"

.

.

.

"Make it 700"

"Deal"
